Status: offline 		No, I meant that the prosecution may try to charge him with something like "violating civil rights" or something they could have before but didn't. It's a foregone conclusion that the defense had the appeal paperwork ready to file.

Let's see, it's almost 11 here (same TZ as Florida). I said before if it's gonna happen, it'll start around midnight.

Status: offline 		Remember the jurors of the Casey Anthony case? Some people threatened them and a restaurant had a sign up that they weren't welcome. Already they showed some of the crowd outside the courthouse in support of a guilty verdict, very unhappy. Only time will tell what happens, but nothing will surprise me at this point.

For those who are applauding the Zimmerman verdict, a teenage boy is still dead.

For those who are angry at the verdict, public opinion is a bigger court, and sometimes far harsher, than our criminal sentences.

Lester Chambers is of course, one of the grandfathers of funk/rap/rock etc. as a member of the Chambers Brothers. In 1972, the first arena concert that I went to, featured them, Alice Cooper, and some new kids no one had ever heard of called Blue Oyster somethingorother.

Recently it came out that the record companies hadn't paid Lester for the decades of music that he had created and performed (as was the case with so many black artists).

I just got the one above about him being attacked over the Martin/Zimmerman media hype.

If anyone wonders why I waste *any* of my time arguing with the smirking bigots on the internet who play Racism 2.0 like it was World of Warcraft, it is because of this. Every time they 'score points' and 'win' by lying about facts, using sock puppets, playing sleazy denier tricks and using projection to blame the victims of racism for being racists, they feed the neo racism meme being pumped out at StormFront.

It's a great big giggle for them, it's another pebble in the bucket of taking action to someone else who feels emboldened by them.

So elderly back men are put in the hospital... and the media makes another billion 'wondering' if a brown skinned man should have a fair trial or not.

That's why I call BS on racism when I see it, and repeatedly post links to facts that I already know are going to be ignored and denied...

So if the 3 sisters, and their crew (including some mods) here are proud of themselves today, ask yourselves exactly what they've got to be proud of.

Not on the murder charge, but they may try to re-charge him with something else? I don't know, I'm not a lawyer, obviously.

They can't. A jurisdiction gets only one try. It is possible he could face a federal charge but that seems unlikely.

I've always been pretty clear about my pro-death stance. I did a little Snoopy dance for a few seconds when I heard the verdict. I will honestly say, I'm not particularily upset that a dugged up petty thief who thought he was a bad ass went and got himself killed.

I see no reason to lament the death of a piece of shit like Travon Martin.

The prosecution had a pretty awful case. I think they did a pretty good job though, considering that all the facts were in favor of Zimmerman. Apparently the jury agreed that the facts did not support the fairy tale the prosecutor tried to sell them.
