Unable to change primary picture, I deleted it and all pics started over with new primary pic and others. Old primary pic still shows and the new primary shows after clicking on view profile. Any other pics don't show.

can you clean out your cookies, and your cache, reboot your computer, come in clean and do it? Sometimes cookies and caching mess you up.

And when you do post the pics, wait about 15 minutes for the servers, they will stick your primary on all your posts if that is how you avatar it.

In any case, this operates as though the picture servers are separate from the profile servers, and they dont synch all at the same time.

So, I counsel patience in that regard.

I had a similar problem and finally got one to show up by clicking every picture I had, finally getting one to stick whether I really wanted that one to stay or not. lol I once had problems before that and cleared my cookies and that seemed to help, but it didn't the next time.

I don't know what the answer is, but I am not messing with pictures again.

Maybe somebody will be able to assist. Good luck!

OP's problem is solved, (Hooray!) but I thought I'd chime in with a couple of other things in case the cache-clearing doesn't fix someone else's problem:

1. I think there are maximum dimensions/ file size for pictures that I haven't seen explicitly mentioned anywhere else.

2. Sometimes, for whatever reason, changing the filename will allow you to upload a photo that wouldn't previously work.

ETA: I think the filename trick is a different way of accomplishing the same thing that clearing cookies/ cache does. The server has a "new" file for upload.

Something Similar happened at work, Internal customer couldn't get info to clear out. She called me thinking she was calling IT department. I told her have your rebooted the computer

Yes, I even powered it down and it still won't clear.

I was ok I can fix that for you, power down the computer disco the Ethernet cable and give it a minute, plug it back in and then power it up.

Time passed "WOW you fixed it, how did you know"

because the network card was holding the info,
