I just blocked someone on this side because of the letter font used. I disliked reading this font from the first instance and nearly never did. So I did not block because of content or personality, but only because of the font used.

Does anyone else block for this particular reason?

Indeed. It was not a whim. I had been considering it for a long time. What is the use of looking at a post and being irritated by its font without ever reading it? Might as well block it and not be irritated.

Perhaps. I am not looking, though.

I won't. What they do isn't my business. Nor do I wish to hurt them by asking to change.

Never blocked anyone at all, much less for no reason like a font.  You could have just ignored them...who knows they may have changed their font on their own when they grew tired of it?

You have the freedom to block anyone you'd like, for whatever reason you'd like.  Long live the free internet.

Edited to add: Shit, I tried to write that in Goudy Stout, which is fucking hideous, but it didn't come through.

I've never blocked any1 on here for any reason at all.
But block away if it deals with your irritation.
Have to say though if you get irritated to that extent with a font it's worrying.

I don't block anyone in the forums... but some I do skip over for various reasons.  There are two frequent posters who post in a harsh color, with irritating script font, that isn't bold enough to decipher (and I think they chose it just for this reason).  While they can use any font they wish, I skip by the ones that make my eyes cross. Perhaps I occasionally miss a gem of a post (or not).... but I save myself a headache.

I have blocked people in chat rooms for using font colors vicious to the eye, but I have always asked kindly if they would choose a color less vicious if they don't I block it so I don't have to see the bright ass color every time they speak.

Pretty much feel the same way. I wonder why some try to be so different and use the irritating fonts/colors, but I don't over-analyze; because I just don't care enough. I truly shake my head when I see all these threads started where folks are writing about blocking forum posts - Like they're that important.

Font in colors too light to see without straining irritates the crap out of me.  Light pink...yellow....I don't block them, it ain't worth the effort.  I just skip the post.

There are fonts and colors on here that I don't like because of the difficulty it is to read them. I just scroll past and keep on reading. Not that big of a deal in my opinion.
