If I put it into my vagina, yes Monistat causes me burning pain, but I can use it on all the outer pink bits no prob. So I will have to go get some Monistat. I use Monistat on the outer bits to sooth burning before .

We will also get plain yogurt for helping with the itchies, can it be plain greek, or does it need to be plain regular, and isn't it really to goopy to really put in an applicater or do you freeze it a bit first?

The Monistat burns? I thought you said the Vagisil did.

Ok.. Vagisil is just for the vulva and lips... not for the vagina itself. Its only for external application.

Monistat has two different creams... the one you insert, and the other, usually in a much smaller tube, that you put on the vulva and lips. Monistat doesnt work for me, but I dont have the burning you talk about. Not saying you cant, its just not a normal side effect.

A cool cloth or yogurt will help with the itch until you get the Diflucan. Personally, I use AZO for yeast infections, over the counter, until I can get my hands on a Doctor.

I think this particular round of ouchie fun was brought on by masturbating several times in several days sometimes 3 a day when I was a wee bit to dry to glide properly, and I kept using spit to get over the rough spot, no pun intended. Do you guys think that could be it, cause nothing else really new for me going on right now and it seems a bit to close to the event to be a co incidence.

Lgh: Diabetics are very, VERY prone to yeast infections.

Someone already said that, but you did not respond, so I thought you may have missed it.

No... no freezing just make sure its cold.... just fill up whatever applicator you can find... might wanna be laying down when you do to let it sit for a while. And, yes, plain yogurt.

If conditions are right, a small abrasion in the lining, a not so clean toy.... many things can cause infections... But for yeast there has to be an overgrowth of the fungus for the event to occur. You need to find out why you are having these infections. Might want to get your physician to check your blood sugar levels.

angelikaJ -> RE: why do yeast infections itch and hurt so fucking bad? (7/16/2013 3:07:56 PM)

FR: I can't use vagisil. It makes things worse because I have a sensitivity to the ingredient.
I am someone who gets some burning with Monistat, but it does work.

Some women are more prone to yeast infections during different parts of their cycles.

If you are prone to yeast infections then it is important to read the ingredients of your lube.
Sensitivities to parabens can make you more prone due to irritation and many lubes contain either glycerin or even small amounts of honey.
Yeast will recognise glycerin as a sugar.

As far as using saliva as a lube goes, if you get frequent sore throats or mouth sores, you might want to pass: the same thing that causes yeast infections in women (and men) can cause thrush...which is simply a yeast infection of the mouth and/or throat.

I did miss that, yes.

Being fat prolly makes the little buggers happy too, and given it is summer n getting hotter by the day, probably makes skin conditions estatic.:\

Being fat, just makes it much more difficult for air to circulate down there and things get moist.
Fungus loves moisture.

I have never had a yeast infection so I can't speak first person but I have a friend that has them all the time and I gave her some Peppermint Castille (for external use only) it burned at first but the coolness of the peppermint oil calmed down the itching/burning and kept it dry then she used Gold Bond Powder to absorb any moisture. It helped to the point that she could do her day to day activities without too much irritation.

I have somewhere a tea tree and peppermint bar of soap, I love that tingling coolness. I need to get another bar!

or get the liquid. I get mine at GNC but you should be able to get it at any health food store.

LGH, for quick relief put ice and water in a glass, lie down with your feet elevated, and put that glass right between your thighs against your girly bits. Instantly calms things down and reduces swelling.

I learned a great, cheap, natural trick from my Gyn to thwart yeast. Buy about a dozen 00 empty gelatin capsules and boric acid powder (most pharmacies will have both). Boric acid is so mild it can be used in your eyes. It will change the pH of your vagina and kill the yeast. Have the pharmacist show you how to easily fill the capsules (there's a technique on a cutting board that works great). Wet the filled capsule with clean water and use your finger to insert. 1 capsule every night before bed until you feel better. No goopiness, very little mess, problem solved for a couple of bucks.

Whenever you feel one coming on, douche w/1 TB of white vinegar in a quart of warm water. That will wash out existing yeast and instantly change the pH. Then, insert the boric acid capsule. That should head things off before they go crazy in there.

As for peppermint soap, Dr. Bronner's is the old standby. Every health food store should have it.

Yeast tends to be caused by an imbalance in the body... she needs to discover the cause first.

The cold is making my vagina so happy. Or as happy as a hurt vagina can be

mom got some monistat and it is doing absolutely nothing to help with the itching and burning. he is buying yogurt at the store as i type now and hope to god that offers some relief, i would tear my crotch off if it was possible.

angelikaJ -> RE: why do yeast infections itch and hurt so fucking bad? (7/17/2013 6:30:08 PM)

A question: do you have an odor coming from there?

There are other things that can cause itching, and Monistat or Diflucan won't help them.

LittleGirlHeart -> RE: why do yeast infections itch and hurt so fucking bad? (7/17/2013 6:47:43 PM)

Not that I can tell. actualy, strangely enough I am having a lack of smell. I usually think my vagina has a pretty strong odor normally and yeah I talked to a gyno about it and I am fine, I just smell a bit strong and lately I am just not smelling that.

LittleGirlHeart -> Some symptoms got worse and I went to the gyno (7/18/2013 4:45:33 PM)

not yeast it's bacterial vaginosis, so I need to take an antibiotic and then she said go ahead and pick up the diflucan anyway, because the medication for the bv can cause itching after you are done with it.

angelikaJ -> RE: Some symptoms got worse and I went to the gyno (7/18/2013 5:47:34 PM)

You may be able to forgo the diflucan if you eat a lot of yogurt (but watch out for the sugar amount).

ShaharThorne -> RE: Some symptoms got worse and I went to the gyno (7/18/2013 6:41:22 PM)

BV is a bitch to deal with. Got one after a D&C. Doctor had to prescribe an antibiotic that I was not allergic to. I can tell it was not a yeast because of the strange smell (rotten fish).

LittleGirlHeart -> RE: Some symptoms got worse and I went to the gyno (7/18/2013 6:55:12 PM)

I thought I smelled slightly like fish, but it wasn't strong or unpleasant, and Daddy didn't even notice it and if I smell off he notices, trust me. So. yeah,
