In a heartbeat. I have no intention of being dragged from my car and beaten senseless like Reginald Denny, and if someone is stupid enough to try to stop my car with their body, I'll obligingly remove them from the gene pool. When you're dealing with a mob, you're not dealing with people anymore. Groupthink makes bad things happen, and I don't want to be on one of those lists.

It depends upon the circumstances.

If I or someone I cared about was not being harmed but merely inconvenienced, I would not (although I would probably enjoy a wicked little fantasy about it).

If, on the other hand, I was being directly threatened and/or someone I cared about was being endangered (such as needing to get someone to the hospital) then I am stomping on that gas pedal and if the mother fuckers can't move their asses fast enough... oh well.

Its a sad thing.

Suppose you have someone dying - literally bleeding out on your front seat.
You have no legal defense to run over someone.

Bottom line is, that I'm going to. Even accepting the consequence that there will be a long trial and I will be found guilty. If the loved one is dying and I can save their life at the possible cost of merely harming someone else... I would.

Interesting she couldnt seem to remember what body part had been "hit". Move 5 miles an hour, no one gets injured unless by their own stupidity. I wouldnt roll the window down, I would just keep right on moving slowly through all those people.

Do I have one of the following vehicles:

1) A one ton Dodge crew cab pick up with MASSIVE bumper guard, 4x4 with an 8 inch riser kit
2) WWII Greyhound scout car with .50 HMG
3) A Tank
4) The presidential limo or its equivalent
5) Security Spec SUV with a GE mini gun mounted on it

It would actually depend on the vehicle and how much body damage would be caused by impacting a human body at high speed.

You do realize that you're talking about vehicular assault and manslaughter? Right? Time to grow up!

Shutting down a freeway- under the patriot act- is terrorism.

Dragging someone from their car to beat them silly- is an act of terror to that person.

I think it's a pity the driver didn't have a gun.

If they dragged the guy in the car ahead of you out and started beating him would you run them down or ask if they felt he displayed racist tendencies.

"Its going to become a civil war almost"

Im sorry, I am sure she was afraid for her granddaughter. But she was not surrounded. The man who she says hit her in fact grabbed her, and its the same man that was in front of the SUV. The same man who hit the vehicle. The same man who didnt hit the windows (in fact, no one hit the windows).

What I did see was one man pull the assaulting guy back, and a woman turn and glare at the man in the stripped shirt. If the news station had recorded the incident, I would love to see the whole thing.

Mom and grandma panicked.... understandable. But watching the video, it didnt jive with what she was saying.

We agree, funnily enough.

Although I don't think it does protesters any good to block main roads in violation of law.

If someone who is under my protection is dying I don't need a legal defense to run over someone. I have a moral imperative. Much as you indicate in your next sentence, "honor" carries with it price tags. Sometimes the price is "your life" or "your freedom".

State law where I am says pedestrians must yield right-of-way to motorized vehicles. The old law gave pedestrians absolute right-of-way.

If they're trying to block traffic with their bodies, it's suicide, not vehicular assault.

I would have done the same thing if I was trying to get some one medical attention, especially one of my kids.
