because i don't! i'm packing my bag and it's literally just my gym bag, sprayed down with a little spicebomb to kill any offensive odors, and i'm cramming several days' worth of clothing into it! how much of a sad-ass manchild does that make me?

does everyone else have luggage? is it monogrammed?

do you mean for a road trip?

I was to Chicago in May- it was easier to use garbage bags. My brother gave me a gym bag- but on my next trip- I am not sure if I will use it.

I have 1 small overnighter (can pack 4 days of clothes in it) and a 30 inch rolling duffel bag. I want to get some hardside luggage but I don't have the room.

We do but purchased the set at an outlet store for a great price. Normally I wouldn't care but it makes things a little easier, being able to wheel them around as oppose to carrying heavy bags along with a child. It's also a bonus to be able to store them inside each other. Even though the biggest one takes up so much room and rarely gets used due to the size. You can fit a person in there...not that you need to.

If it were just me, though, I'd much prefer a duffel or backpack...especially for flying so I wouldn't have to check it.

I don't quite get the whole monogrammed thing, but I suppose it would make it easier to spot your luggage at an airport. I've never had a problem locating mine, though.

I have a couple of large and sturdy bags that can be wheeled. Like this. Those are used for school, work, or university trips.
However, when we go on holiday it is usually by car. In this cases everything gets crammed into Ikea bags, as it makes packing the car easier.

I have my trusty ol' duffel bag I got from Uncle Sugar, a soft-sided carry on with shoulder/waist straps I intend to use when the GF and I go to Ireland, and a slew of gym bags/backpacks. I have this antique suitcase too, but it's pre WWII and wouldn't stand another trip. And trains rock! What other form of transportation lets you see people's backyards?

I had a rolling bag and a backpack that fit in the overhead bins for flights...I am NOT paying to check a bag! The length of the stay determined what I took. I got both of them for about $10 a piece. I pack light, and roll mu clothes, they don't wrinkle, and you can fit more in the bag.

I used to have big suitcases, and pretty much used them for road trips, but got rid of them due to space/storage issues. I pretty much travel by car anymore, so I use duffel bags.

Gawd I hate luggage, altho I have tons of it, nothing special, just standard soft sided suitcases.
I like to travel light, I wouldnt carry a purse if I didnt have to.

I emigrated to canada with 2 large cases a bag and my purse, I use a medium one for my travelling toybag,
I have a small one for going to the US to see my pet.
my kids have loads here which are mostly used for seasonal clothing.
I refuse to pay for expensive stuff Im only gonna use a couple of times a year

I have great luggage, for long trips, a military issue duffel, shorter trips have an alice pack, for over nighters, a nice rucksack.

Fancy pillow cases could be an option. When I take a road trip I also take some food items.

OP, nobody could travel with My toy collection and kink-wear without having decent luggage.

In other words, yes. We have quite a bit.

For overnight up to about a week, a decent size tool bag makes shockingly good luggage. Lots of little pockets for the personal items and a little bit more room for clothes that a gym bag.

I do have one monogrammed bag I got as a gift many years ago. Mostly we have a motley assortment. A giant red thing with wheels I bought my daughter to go to college. A very oversized camo duffel that I have no idea where I got it but was part of my son's paintball gear. A huge, length, depth and width thing on wheels that carried the paintball guns and tanks which The Man has appropriated for toys.

And various backpacks that the kids used growing up. I have no shame, I'll use a tie dyed one that only a 6th grader would be seen dead with.

Yes I have real luggage. No it's not monogrammed unless you count my own personalization. I put my name on it with a silver paint pen and wrapped some orange string around the handle, just so my bag would not be mixed up with anyone else's and not get lost. I wanted it to stand out for that purpose.

ETA: It's funny to read the difference in responses from the men and the women. Men carry around bags. Women carry around luggage.

Yes, I have "baggage" and no it is not monogrammed. But to be fair I spent a lot of years doing business travelling and you learn to travel light. I can go for two weeks in my one rollaboard suitcase without doing nutty things that require a pneumatic press to get it into the overhead compartment. So where I used to have a selection of suitcases now it's just one rollaboard that every few years I make smaller as the airlines reduce the maximum sizes.

For cars I tend to use duffel bags. They are so superior in almost every way and good ones are reliable.

I do. I have a Dooney and Burke roller and the duffle bag. It was a present for Christmas one year from Hubs.

My beauty school gave us a giant rolling suitcase for all our supplies. I haven't had any time for travel since starting, but I imagine its what I'd use if I did
