Just wanted to know what you Mistresses felt about Goddess Worship on both a physical and spiritual level. Do you feel it is possible to become a true embodiement of the Goddess?

There certainly are a lot of flavors of BDSM, but I have never had much interest of being on the receiving end of 'worship' on any level unless it's in a bit of roleplaying as part of a larger sadistic scenario (like shoving a man's face toward the ground to lick my boots if you want to call that "worship.") The caveat is that as a woman, and a lover, and a girlfriend and wife, OF COURSE I want an "attentive" lover and boyfriend - but ALL women do. I want a courteous and proactive service oriented partner, absolutely. I want the normally expected (if not more) backrubs, I expect my car filled up with gas, etc. - but I don't see that as my partner being "submissive" and I don't DOMINATE him to get that stuff done, I don't have to be "in role" to get it done. He does it because he's a good man. I don't get orgasms because I am "in role" or "I'm the domina." My dominant role is a sadist who needs/desires/demands surrender, suffering, pain, humiliation and a host of other unthinkable acts that require me to "do" things (bondage, pain, penetration, toys, acts, mindgames) to a man who surrenders to me and I am the active party and he is the receiving party. It is not me sitting back and being adored. However, there are times where I may require him to do these things to himself, but it's still under my direction. Is that worship? No. But he does those out of devotion to me, absolutely! Akasha

Why would a goddess want a lower being to be the embodiment of her? Hell, man, I would be afraid the wench would fry my ass if I was some dude trying to be seen through or because of her. That lightning hurts! You are a lower being... don't get ahead of yourself.

FR This seems like more of a religion question than a BDSM question - whether a person can embody a goddess depends on whether you believe a goddess exists, and to what extent you believe it is possible for a human to exhibit god-like qualities. Also, at what point does a person become a 'true embodiment' - do they have to actually be possessed by/channelling the spirit of the deity, or just displaying similar characteristics? Is worshipping that person an act of worship towards the human being, or is the human simply a stand-in to allow physical acts of worship to a non-physical being? For me personally, as a (reluctant) atheist, it's not possible for someone to embody a deity, and I find many of the references to humans as gods and goddesses to be a little distasteful and insensitive to the deeply-held beliefs of others. That said, if your spiritual or religious beliefs allow or encourage a human to be a goddess-by-proxy, then I see no reason why it couldn't feature in a D/s or BDSM relationship and hold a great deal of meaning.

Fast reply...... I don't know. If I was the true embodiment of the Goddess, I don't think people would like it much. I don't suffer fools well now. Can you imagine how poorly I'd deal with areas like the stupidity of mortals?

Very nice reply. Thanks. Many of the other comments posted are very childlike, which is to be expected. There are not many dominant Women who understand this, but some do. It can be seen in Tantra and some types of Wicca, such as "drawing down the moon". A sub's submissive combined with this can be utterly profound. I really do not care what males have to say, this question is not directed at them.
