SweetAngel43211 -> So weird!!! (7/20/2013 11:57:37 AM)

Last night I could feel my hair twirling around and around my head and I kept swatting at it and then I would hear someone laugh... I finally opened my eyes to see this really weird kinda half see through man crouching by my bed... I told him to stop it and go away and he disappeared... My sis has been seeing what she calls a ghost dog for a couple of days now when she goes downstairs in the middle of the night to check on her son.. We only have one dog and when she goes back upstairs he is always still up there sleeping... It is so creepy!

I was wondering if anyone has ever had similar experiences and if so did they go away for good or did they keep coming back?

In the interest of objectivity: have you been taking any prescription medication with unusual side effects or drinking before going to bed? Have you made any changes to your diet or watched any scary/paranormal movies? [8|]

SweetAngel43211 -> RE: So weird!!! (7/20/2013 1:48:58 PM)

No, I haven't changed anything and I don't watch scary movies of any kind... I also don't drink at all...

I think sometimes we can dream things like that: dreams in which we seem to be awake and odd things happen.

I am not saying that I don't believe you, but from my personal experience, it could have been a dream.

SweetAngel43211 -> RE: So weird!!! (7/20/2013 1:55:18 PM)

Okay thanks, I guess it could have been a dream... but the dog thing can't be since she is awake and checking on my nephew when she sees it...

I always used to swear our old house in Bristol was haunted by an old lady, would put something down, look away and then when I turn back find it had moved. My mum swears it was haunted too, though she thought it was an old man as she could always smell tobacco at odd places.

I was very young though, it is pretty much all I can remember about the house - I believe it's been converted to a B&B now, been really tempted to pay it a visit and see if the owners noticed anything

Dreams closer to your waking can often be way more realistic and sense oriented. But on the other hand, I've definitely had experiences that have led me to believe that there's a lot more out there that we don't understand. Have all of these things been disturbing enough to maybe try a cleansing? You know, white sage smudge stick, blessings, pleas for them to leave, etc. If they haven't been too scary or negative feeling, do you think you could get used to them?

SweetAngel43211 -> RE: So weird!!! (7/20/2013 6:58:57 PM)

They aren't really scary at all just annoying... It took me forever to fall back asleep. The dog thing is happening to my sister and she says it isn't scary she thinks it is her dog she had to have put to sleep checking in on her son as well...

eerrmm...have you two been maybe toking a little too much or nipping at the bottle? How about gas fumes in the house?

SweetAngel43211 -> RE: So weird!!! (7/20/2013 7:18:58 PM)

We don't drink or do drugs and there is no smell of gas in the house....

littlewonder -> RE: So weird!!! (7/20/2013 7:39:53 PM)

some gases don't smell like radon. Got a radon detector in your home? Might wanna invest.

SweetAngel43211 -> RE: So weird!!! (7/20/2013 7:43:39 PM)

I don't know if we have one or not... But while I sleep in the basement my sis sleeps in the attack... I will have to have them look into I guess...

littlewonder -> RE: So weird!!! (7/20/2013 7:45:48 PM)

well yeah, I'm gonna guess since you are in the basement and she's in the attic, perfect places for gases, I'd be looking into it.

SweetAngel43211 -> RE: So weird!!! (7/20/2013 7:49:42 PM)

Okay thanks I will have her let her hubby know...

Several of my family members are all into things like that, especially my mom and my sister. I think paranormal stuff is fun and interesting. While I am more dubious about it than some of the other members of my family, I feel like I've seen at least two (one may have been a dream when I was very young, one was more recently when I was working all alone at Subway). My mother says that one of the houses I grew up in was haunted by a little old lady ghost who liked to make our house smell like chocolate chip cookies and hide things occasionally.

My sister actually somehow managed to get a free trip to NYC courtesy of the Montel show a couple years back so she could go and talk to Sylvia Brown and ask her if she could feel what ghosts were feeling. I was a bit jealous about the free trip to NYC.

ETA: to fix a typo and because I wasn't really trying to reply to littlewonder, just in general

I might sound like a kook but at times, I sense my father when I get up early in the mornings in pain. I don't tell my mom about it because I know he is just lingering about, checking on us. When Mom passes on and she gets cremated, I am mixing her ashes with his and burying them in Arkansas, overlooking the lake we loved fishing on.

Dad was also a sensitive. His favorite story was about a ghost named George who resided in a nursing home in Gilmer TX. One night George decided to knock over the metal bedpans in the closet. Dad cussed him out, telling him to put them back up. Another nurse went to see the 'damage" and the pans were back in place. Never doubt the ones who linger behind...George also had a history of pushing the nurse call button when a patient was failing fast, in turn saving them from death.
