...DHL shipped my yarn to Winnifield, LA! Talk about your misshipment... It is needed for a shawl I am crocheting for the county fair. Now I have to wait a couple of more days while they straighten their asses up. Even the tracking info says mis-shipment. And I can't work on the baby afghan because my SIL needed the hook for her project to work on while visiting family in Arkansas. Someone get the Amaretto and coke out...this is worth drinking on top of meds.

When is the fair? Ours is the end of July. Worse comes to worse, you can enter it in next year's.

That's Lizard's hobby...taking over the world through cosplay... I think I can work on another project here...a 6 foot prayer shawl. The fair is not until September but the yarn I had to order from the company because Walmart quit carrying it. I hear Norco and Flexirel calling me...damn back spasms.

Just checked on the shipment. It left Shreveport, LA this morning so I will get it in the morning. Now just to wait for the hook to return...

Out of curiosity, what makes it a prayer shawl as opposed to an ordinary shawl. I don't see any difference on google images.

Depends if it is part of the Prayer Shawl Ministry. I usually do one up when someone in the family dies. Did one last year when my aunt A passed on but there was no one to give one to. This year, my second cousin passed away a few weeks ago. His mom, my cousin, will get one in various shades of blue. Someone on here recently lost her hubby so I am making a 6 foot one for her, another different shades of blue. Its my way of saying that I am always there for them.

Thanks for the explanation. It's new to me. Prayer shawls in Judaism are used during worship.

Well, the yarn came in today, as well as Mom's mattress pad. I forgot that I ordered that for her. Now to wait until she gets home.
