Well first...stop using third person...I know some prefer it but..it just sounds artificial. Second, I know the male Dom to female sub and the female Domme to male sub market is always more men then women but I am not familiar with the demand in the gay community. Welcome to the forums. Not that it's any of my business, but why are you living with your parents at the age of 39? To answer your question, I'd recommend munches to meet local people. Once you know a few people, you'll hear about local gay Masters, both good and bad.

Canton and Akron are close by, Cleveland is only an hour away, and Columbus and Pittsburgh on either side about 2 hours away. Pick one, and look up groups on fetlife.

This is good advice. I also usually advise to volunteer to work at the events. It's a great way to show grace in service and get to know the people in your community.

Another vote for volunteer work as a way to make a good impression and network. Additionally, I have a bit of social anxiety in new situations and find that volunteering helps with that.

"It" needs to work on his self esteem a bit, and there's been some good advice given, but we also have to remember that the third-person speak may be a big part of his personal trip. He may wish to interact with someone who's looking for that kind of headspace. But yeah, OP, you need to get out into the world a bit more. Baby steps are better than no steps, and a little adventure couldn't hurt. Hit a munch, they're low stress (last one I did was at a coffee shop in a supermarket).
