Apparently, there's a video tape of them raping a 13 year old girl. "Heinous" pales as a description for that offense.

Personally, I believe we're better off (as a society) without barely human pieces of filth like this hanging around.

So, as I said before; IF there is a video, this should be a slam dunk ..." So, get them ANY lawyer or team of lawyers that you want. If they're guilty, hanging is too good for them.

As a female, I dont consider the difference between being raped by 13 men rather than merely 10 men a "minor quibble".. ..the additional physical and emotional trauma in addition to potential std/hiv risks of each additional man..

I vote for that post as winner of the "Stupidest Post of the Day" award..

Normally, I'm a bit ambivalent about the death penalty except for the truly heinous cases, but here one has to consider what happens after those geniuses complete their sentences. My guess is that most are illegals, so that means a free ticket back to Mexico where they'll merely continue their abberant behaviors. In my opinion, any dude that does this, especially with a thirteen year old girl, is 'broken' and unlikely to be fixed at all. The cost of their trials and confinement alone are going to be staggering, to say the least. Bullets are still relatively cheap.

And I'd definitely like to know what that shelter has to say about how this girl got out. When an entity is placed in charge of a person in need of supervision, they're supposed to fucking supervise, not let them slip out the back door. While the kid wasn't an inmate in the classical sense of the word, she was still someone you just don't let outside to do "whatever". Didn't that place have staff or door alarms? I'd like to hear about how they went about maintaining security in there. But chances are, we won't. They'll lawyer up, make a few consolation statements, and quietly close their doors and reopen under a new name. Maybe a couple people will get fired, but other than writing a large check, that'll be the end of it for them.

now THIS is the sort of shit that I do detest. I got infinite money to pay for "staggering" trial costs if I'm planning on taking a man's life as a possible consequence. If I can't afford to pay for credible defense then I can't afford to try the guy for a death penalty sentence. This has nothing to do with race. Nothing. The two men listed have Hispanic names. What of the other 11? Could easily be "white folk" in there, no?

There is an appeals process that can be followed if the sentenced choose. It takes years. I'm conflicted over that, actually. Half of me would rather not waste taxpayer dollars on defending an animal that should be put down while the other half would hate to see an innocent person be put to death.

Video of them raping her and/or cheering others on? Hard to defend.
