I have sent and received chocolate from the USA , china and Australia so I'm assuming yes.
Though would need to wrap carefully if you're sending kinder eggs.
xx

Yes. Let me give you my address.[;)]

Depending on products, destination, and shipping method, melting might also be a concern. Destination-local offices of your chosen carrier might be able to guide you a bit in that regard.

You might want to check the state and local laws regarding kinder eggs. They are illegal in many parts of the U.S. because they are regarded as a potential choking hazard for children.

Powergamz1 -> RE: Can You Send Chocolate To The USA In The Mail? (7/24/2013 6:56:45 AM)

State and local laws have nothing to do with it. Under federal law there is a possible fine of $2,500 per Kinder Egg.

And as mentioned, if you send real chocolate through the mail this time of year, expect it to melt.

Gary, I don't know if it's doable (because it's been years since I almost married that Brummie bint) but there should be a company with a website where you can order things to be delivered to the USA and while it may cost a bit more, you don't have to deal with all the mucky-muck and details.

I know of the certain types of candies you mentioned and I'm not sure that they would all be available here but have you ever heard of Edible Bouquets? They do some nice things in chocolate. and I know good chocolate!

Regards,

Dom DeLoise

All of the chocolate must be tested.

There are some loopholes in the federal ban, depending on the size of the toy.

I'd pass that test as long as there's no urine involved.

Love,
Your prom date

When there is a will there is away....so when are my chocolates gonna be here [;)].

What about placing the order via the internet and just have them shipped from a place here in the US so all the other problems can be alleviate trying to ship from there to here? I did a goggle and there is a NJ based candy company that has the Kinder eggs. Smarties & Maltesers are easy to find here. I have an idea see you over on the other side. [:D]

Thank you all so much for your kind help, suggestions & advice.

I'm sending a Teddy Bear for her birthday, & thought I'd send some of her favourite sweets, that she misses from home.

I hadn't considered the heat, that was a good call, I'll send them on later.

Once again, thanks a lot guys!

Not regarding the Kinder Eggs, there aren't. They specifically remain on the banned list.

Check the weather before sending. It's very hot in a lot of places right now.

America! Land of the free, home of the brave. But not if you want Kinder Eggs. Oh no, not for you, Americans. They might be dangerous! Just another sign we're turning into a Nanny State. On a side note, I used to send my sister in Utah a box full of sponge candy, which if you're a connoisseur, you know it can only be properly created in the Western New York area, due to its elevation above sea level, relative humidity, and the pact we made with the Devil. Which also presumably included a clause guaranteeing the Bills would never make it to the playoffs ever again, but I digress...

Every year since she moved out west, we sent her a box with no problems. After 9/11, the USPS freaked out and for two years refused to allow us to ship any to her. It wasn't until the '03 Christmas season I could send it out, and only then by packing it up inside the local post office after showing it to the desk clerk what it was. Apparently, under X-ray, sponge candy "looks" like "something else" was all the woman told me.

Ever since then, it's the only way I can send her and my nephew sponge candy. Otherwise, the box is returned to me "Opened and Examined and deemed unsafe for delivery" And for this, I blame both the terrorists and the Bush and Obama administration for continuing this confectionery outrage. When will the madness end??? >end of rant and I descend from my soapbox<

Used to get the chocolate frogs when Harry Potter was real big from an eBay friend in London. Lizard loved them.

Send her some milky bars.... Oh man I miss them more than I miss galaxy

PeonForHer -> RE: Can You Send Chocolate To The USA In The Mail? (7/25/2013 1:50:49 AM)

The recipe for Galaxy has changed, apparently, Lucy. I tried a bar recently - yeesh: really, really sweet and sickly.
