Well, without establishing a non-kinky connection first, the rest would have never gotten off the ground. But that's just me, others may be willing to engage in play only.

mnw, I just reread your OP and think I misunderstood it when I replied to you.

What I think you're saying is: is it possible or preferable to have vanilla sexual encounters included in a kinky relationship?

If that's the case, my answer is different. While I may include physical sex acts with no apparent twists, there is always the underlying current of my dominance flowing through. My partners understand it's as much a part of my constitution as my eye color, the range of my voice, the freckle on my shin.
