My ball gag, I'm told, tastes like rubber (it _is_ rubber!).
It's a store bought leather and rubber setup.

How do you clean these things to get rid of the rubber taste?

You can't. The taste is inherent to the material. I personally like the taste, if your subs don't, try a different material, like silicon, wood, or a harder PVC.

You could perhaps roll it in something or smear something on it prior to play, like syrup, but eventually it will all get licked off and taste like rubber again. A wiffle ball with a scarf through it makes a fine ball gag, and because it is harder plastic, it has less of a taste, imho.

You can't kill the taste. Try changing to plastic ball. Drill a hole through a ping pong ball or buy soft (or hard) perforated golf balls with the holes in them and thread the strap through or use an athletic shoe lace. I am told the perforated golf balls make it very easy to breathe . . . and if you are working your slave hard, sometimes they need to breathe freely while panting and screaming.

go to the nearest place they sell golf supplies.Ask for the little balls for indoor practice for a friend.

You can't. Get silicone. They have them on Amazon and ExtremeRestraints.
