What is EU law?

The main goal of the EU is the progressive integration of Member States' economic and political systems and the establishment of a single market based on the free movement of goods, people, money and services.

To this end, its Member States cede part of their sovereignty under the Treaty on the Functioning of the European Union (TFEU) which empowers the EU institutions to adopt laws.

These laws (regulations, directives and decisions) take precedence over national law and are binding on national authorities. The EU also issues non-binding instruments, such as recommendations and opinions, as well as rules governing how EU institutions and programmes work, etc.

If you'll indulge an American who in an attempt to see and research world trends, I have a few suggestions for this OP. I am thinking the first goal of a EU is to get Europeans to install a single currency. Now before your mind immediately drifts off into how that is not the case...don't. For the ECB to have any power in the future and it will have much more, one must first install the concept which has been and once all of Europe and that currency is under control which will be a long slow struggle...Europe as in the US...is done.

I am saying the idea is to get through...the idea. So eventually the mind accepts the idea for a slow yet fairly steady march toward say all 27 nations, the first ideal of an EU and then once there despite their Islamic despotism...bring in and impoverish, marginalize or kill Muslims or let them starve under the weight of their own homegrown corruption...the testimony of which I get from those in America now being that all of Islam is totally corrupt from the street level to the top of govt. and exponentially poorer everyday.

The idea behind this is that according to the World bank, by 2050 there will 9.1 billion people, 1 billion of which have something, the other 8 billion or so...nothing. In exchange for survival...the 8 billion now under the power of 3 banks Federal Reserve, ECB and the World bank...are slave to 3 currencies. The US dollar, the EU's euro and the yuan even though the yuan is far from parity and the reason this will be a slow march. (nobody even 20 years ago predicted that the yuan as of 2013 would buy about 16 yen)

The idea that a EU was to stop Europe from going to war with each other is propaganda as Europe long tired of war...wasn't about to and couldn't afford it anyway. What we are witness to now is the leveling if the economic playing field. Soon all of the EU and increasingly under the euro, all social fabric will be reduced to jobs and similar debt and poverty. Same as labor in the US is under going a devaluation down to the peso or yuan.

If by EURO P&R you mean politics where the R is for religion...it is irrelevant except to the extent it is a great distraction or tool to achieve the above.

So all discussions of the welfare state and/or health care and such are only yet more distractions and will soon be rendered meaningless, by 2050 there may be none at all. The message will be let them eat cake or just die. Plus this all could easily be true even if it is 2080 when the above is achieved.

Those are very good points Mister Rodgers. I concurr with most of what you say and am willing to investigate this in detail first.

The R stands for Religion cause it is still a big factor in play and Relations as to how we europeans relate to eachother. So the P is also Public in the sense we want reliable info and Politics in relation to how we are being fucked.[;)]

My view is that yes the euro is a tool to control through banks. We were told we would pay a heavy price for 5 years.
Its roundabout 10 years now and the situation through the banking crisis is getting worse by day.
Do I think the euro should remain. Yes for the time being for sure cause it would cause a greater crisis otherwise.
But maybe it's better for some countries to step out of the eurocurrency zone for now to better direct the economy upwards.
In the end it is an overall discussion wether it's profitable for all europeans to keep the euro.
My people are in banking too. I want to keep the euro now. Cause like I said I have paid dearly for it.
And it will be profitable for me in the near future since I am an independent.
