That's great, I'm glad it went well. I met some really nice people at my first one. I was nervous about going as well, doubly so in fact because I had social anxiety at the time. I made a post saying I was coming to my first one and was a bit nervous. Two women emailed me and offered to meet me and introduce me around. And an older guy, a sort of veteran in the scene, and a consummate gentleman who has sadly since passed away, made a point of coming over and introducing himself which he does to all new people. And his sub kept an eye on me as well, and she was super nice. I met a great couple who sort of took me under their wings. I don't know if anyone else has found this, but I definitely found the older people more welcoming. The younger ones, in their twenties, just sat around a table together and ignored everyone else, which didn't impress me. But that was the only thing. I'd planned to just stay for an hour or so and ended up staying for like three, which was a big deal for me. One of the ladies who contacted me initially and offered to look out for me kept in contact with me via email and we ended up going out a few times. She was a great lady. It didn't go anywhere and I always regret that but all in all it was a good experience. I stopped going to them because I didn't really get as much out of the subsequent ones, but I hope that's different for you. Did you call the lady you met? If you did how did it go?
