I tend to believe that you are only as dominant as the submissive you're with. I'm not talking about being dominant in the workplace, or always being the one to do the organising and arranging. There are a lot of submissive folk who are like this too (including myself). I'm more focussing on the interaction between a dominant and a submissive. This is not a negative point, but perhaps one to ponder. I am a slave, but not a slave to anyone. I'm not even submissive to most people, but to the right one I'm as subservient as he wants me to be. All I can assume is that the men in the Ukraine did not react well to your particular style of dominance, so they were not inspired to be submissive, whereas the Canadian men were.
