It comes of the roll by the meter and is quite cheap. Does anyone have any experience with using PVC sheets when it comes to water sports?

I'm trying to think of a reason you'd use it besides Slip 'N Slide! time. The only thing I can think of is putting it down to protect flooring or furniture... am I right?

I've used old plastic shower curtains to contain mess before. Worked like a charm. I imagine if you test it to see if it's can perform as a decent liquid barrier it'd be alright.

Nah, it's to protect the mattress. Bed beats floor any day.

The way polyvinyl chloride outgasses irritating byproducts would have me shying away from that bigtime.
If I was going for sheet rubber for play I'd be looking for sheet neoprene or nitrile.

PVC and latex often cause allergic reactions. Make sure of what you are buying for the use you want to put it to.

I don't do watersports, but I do have quite a lot of PVC by the meter for non-kinky reasons. It's probably not wide enough for what you are thinking, unless you are only planning on using a twin bed. Otherwise you are going to have to use two pieces side by side which would allow urine to seep through. You will also definitely need to protect the floor because the contents of a human bladder are considerable and will puddle and pour off the sides of the bed. It's not the nicest texture on skin and will probably be quite uncomfortable when there is urine and sweat to make a sticky layer between skin and sheets.

To protect a mattress you're going to want a tight fit and those PVC sheets by the roll don't fold all that well - I think they would come away at the corners and not do their job. I think you're best investing in sheets made for this purpose and using the PVC on the floor. Remember you'll also want to remove the mattress after playtime to clean the bed frame as tiny amounts of urine caught there will stink.

If it's a money issue, you can probably get cheaper equipment by searching for adult incontinence products than looking on kink sites.

To be fair, I did say 'on the floor or FURNITURE' but I digress... I agree that using what you describe on a mattress is asking for leaks. You can get a waterproof pad made specifically for your bed anywhere for under $50 and unless it's defective it will work 100%. Some of these pads will absorb the liquid to decrease the chances of it spilling over. You can urinate on someone and then not have to worry about puddles forming that will slide everywhere if the surface becomes uneven.
