I haven't seen the latest episode yet, but last week I watched it with a friend.

When Eric's sister died we looked at each other and said simultaneously, "That dude is going on a killing spree."

searching4mysir -> RE: True blood (cont.) (8/6/2013 8:38:26 AM)

FR

If Warlow is gone now (and it seemed unclear at the end of this episode), why doesn't Bill make Sookie his vampire fairy bride and turn her (against her will) so that she is similar to Warlow? Or drag her ass into that room and have everyone feed on her?

And the killing spree continues

LadyPact -> RE: True blood (cont.) (8/11/2013 7:22:19 PM)

Ack! It's not on in My time zone yet. LOL.

LadyPact -> RE: True blood (cont.) (8/11/2013 10:23:44 PM)

Oh. My. God. I am such a wimp.

Am I the only one who got teary eyed over this episode?

TNDommeK -> RE: True blood (cont.) (8/12/2013 1:01:58 AM)

No!!!!!! I been crying! Not over the terry crap, but where is Eric going now?
Damn it!

I love Pam!

LadyPact -> RE: True blood (cont.) (8/18/2013 8:06:19 PM)

Don't forget. Season finale tonight.

TNDommeK -> RE: True blood (cont.) (8/18/2013 11:24:47 PM)

Season finale, but it wasn't the end of the series right?

What happened to Eric , tell me he didn't die. It didn't show him die, so hopefully Pam gets to him in time.
I'm done of he is dead.

Unfortunately, HBO has next season already in the works.

An avid reader, I read the books the series is based on while recuperating from surgery before HBO started this fiasco.

HBO would be better off trashing the series and replacing it with "The Best of Face the Nation" or a game show where people try to get Kristen Stewart to show more emotions than she does now, of course my theory is the first zombie in history and therefore incapable of emotion.

What is this country coming to when something like True Blood is popular and a great show like Firefly is cancelled.

LadyPact -> RE: True blood (cont.) (8/19/2013 12:18:11 AM)

Jeff is right about the next season already a deal for HBO. Sorry, Jeff. The show has a great following, so I don't see it being cancelled.

I did a little poking looking for a spoiler for next season. I'd be really shocked if they actually killed off Eric. Both Alexander and Kristen were on the panel at Comic Con, so I'm led to believe they will both be back.

Firefly has a hell of a following, Rocky horror picture show has a hell of a following. I liked the first couple of seasons of true blood, really I did, then the series took a right turn into the world of Acid Inspired Writers. Characters that were supposed to be a main part of the story are killed off, and then it got weird.

I have seen some really bad "creative License" rips of good books going to film, but this takes the cake.

OrionTheWolf -> RE: True blood (cont.) (8/19/2013 5:27:08 AM)

I like True Blood alright but it is not as good as it used to be. Erik will be back I am sure. Nothing that happened was a surprise to me.

Unfortunately, I'm not aware of either of the ratings shares of the shows. I have to think they are still getting True Blood fans to tune in or they wouldn't have renewed.

I've never read the books, so the television version not being an accurate portrayal of the author's version doesn't blow it for Me. I just consider it a show based on the characters created by somebody else.

I did some serious looking around the web to see if there was *any* kind of spoiler regarding Eric's fate. That must be one tight lipped set. Plenty of fans discussing Alexander's full frontal nudity scene and tons of comments about his package. I'm just holding out hope because we didn't see him as the infamous puddle of goo.

[:D] I feel the same way. I have 2 episodes on the DVR that I haven't watched yet but curiosity is going to get the best of Me and I am going to read the rest of this thread.

Lucylastic -> RE: True blood (cont.) (8/21/2013 6:20:46 PM)

not gonna do a specific spoiler but there was news on huffington today:)

cloudboy -> RE: True blood (cont.) (8/21/2013 7:08:19 PM)

It's hard to recall a season highlight from this summer's run. Glum prison surroundings, day walking, and an uninspired villain. Yawns all around and characters going to waste.

xxblushesxx -> RE: True blood (cont.) (8/25/2013 4:27:42 AM)

Eric will live. I wonder if Pam will sacrifice herself to save him?
True Blood's ratings are still at the number one and number two slots (breaking bad's season premiere knocked them down one slot during one of the last episodes this season.) in its category.
True Blood also makes more in DVD, Blu Ray sales than they do selling the show itself. (yes, I'm a TB geek)
The reason there were only ten episodes this season is because Anna Paquin was very pregnant with her (and Stephen Moyer's) twins.
They are trying to get back to the roots of the show, though, and I think overall, this season, they succeeded.
I didn't care for the final episode...(esp. what they did to Eric, and the silly time jump)
Warlo certainly went out with a whimper, considering how much they built him up over the last couple of seasons. I was very disappointed with that particular story arc.
Anna Camp and Michael McMillian were just so funny this season. I loved them! (rip, Vampire Steve Newlin)
Jason's character continues to evolve and grow every season, as does Sheriff Bellfleur's.
Sookie...she just keeps getting around with all the supes. *lol*
Sam Merlotte was a total dog this season (true to his nature) "Oh, Luna died a day or so ago? I must have sex with this strange modern day hippy..."
Alcide...his character was all over the place. I don't care though, just keep showing him shirtless...
Now all of a sudden Bill is "sweet" Bill again. Almost a Jesus character after he walks out of the vamp camp; his white shirt glowing in the sun. (I'm not buying what the writers are tying to sell me there)
I can't wait to order season 6 on Blu Ray so I can watch it all again.

~Fast Reply~

First, sorry for bringing this back to the top for anyone bothered, but I just finally got to watch the season finale.

WTF??? Eric can NOT be dead! Images of Eric naked on that chaisse lounge will give me pleasant dreams for months, Lol.

I was actually pleased with the finale if not the Warlow story line (what a waste). Never liked Bill much, so his suffering doesn't bother me. Jessica's scene with Andy was great and I see lots of possibilities for next season.

Tara and her mother? Meh, not so much. When Tara was tearing up, it should have been bloody tears.

Not enough with Lafayette. I love every scene he is in since it always leaves me laughing.

More naked Alcede will be cool but I want Eric!

Erm...did you happen to see Eric's uhm...little Eric when he stood up? If you missed it, there are screen shots all over the net. Or, I'm assuming there are. Yeah, that's it. I'm sure there must be. That's what I meant. [;)]

Tara never asked for her mother's clean bill of health before feeding on her. What if she had Hep V and was doing this to kill her abomination of a daughter?
