That's right, in two separate attacks, the current enemy of GOP members in the US House of Representatives (not to mention many of their conservative supporters) is the poor. They would have us believe that the poor are to blame for everything and as such, should remove any and all programs meant to help them out in life. Yes, a bunch of multi-million dollar, rich bastards feel would should cut stuff aimed to help the poor and instead give it to the 1%.

The first, is that Republicans, before leaving on their vacation, tried to revoke funding of the Affordable Care Act for the 40th time! While successfully passing such a measure in the House its doomed, like its 39 predecessors to be approved in the US Senate let alone signed into law by President Obama. I always get a chuckle by the number of conservatives that have never really sat down and READ THE BILL, they are so much against. Its been on the rule books for three years now! Took me a few hours to read through it. Heck, to those that know the history will say the President's original bill was magnitudes better than the ACA; but it got watered down by Republicans to what we have now. An if Republicans really thought this does not help Americans, why do they not create a ....BETTER.... bill? Oh, they would first have to have an original thought....

An some of you might know that Republicans have been devising a Farm Aid bill to give untold hundreds of billions of our tax money over to a couple of farm owners that own billions of dollars worth of farm and equipment. No aid for those small business farms that exist across our nation. They are even trying to cut Food Stamps from those really effected by economic conditions. How many Republicans have ever felt starvation? Not a single one! If they are without food for longer than 10 minutes they are complaining. But gutting the food stamp program from millions of men, women and children that really could use it. On the 'grounds' according to Republicans, that we cant pay for it, are giving many billions to the farm industry! That's not hypocritical, that's just criminally unethical!

This Congress, thanks to the GOP is now rated the lowest approval rating since such polls have been taken (at 12%).....AND.....passing the least bills in the history of the United States at just 15! I always thought the primary job of LAW MAKERS was to make laws.

According to some within the GOP, their job is not "make laws" but to repeal laws. Or so I've heard one or two of them say.

That sounds more like the Best. Government. Ever.

LOL...I'd like to see your evidence for that statement. No Republican, anywhere, ever?

All good and well, other than the fact that that is completely FOS. The reason that the country is in the mess it's in is due to laws passed by both parties.

Screw all this 'repeal of laws,' somebody put a clamp on those bitches before they ever pass one in the first place.

Were it not for those "Modernization Acts" of 1999 and 2000, 4.5 million people might still be in their homes, and perhaps 6-8 million people might still be in their jobs, other than serving fries.

But ... but ...

We can't repeal the California law against a woman wearing her bathrobe while driving a car.

That would negate all kinds of thrill and fun.
