Mutase is a valid solution, though the word that I scrambled was Meatus.

Ok, Rule, you're going to have to define this one for me because it's not in any of my dictionary's although I freely admit, my good ones are already packed. ::laughs::
Of course I was also stumped. Heartfeltsub admitting defeat did not bolster my confidence either. Nevertheless I consulted my dictionary in vain, pondered, and eventually googled np-lamp and got 197 hits, many apparently in Polish. It seems to be a kind of halogen lamp. As I was not at all convinced that this was the word that Brightspot scrambled, I put a queston mark behind my proposed solution. It is up to Brightspot to decide whether my solution is valid or whether her scramble is still unsolved.
