There are penning areas on both ends of the arenas. Pens that do hold cattle for working cattle classes. You could easily enough put fences up in the arena to keep the cattle going straight.
Plus an added benefit for Columbus is that it's one of the most depressed cities I've ever been to. It could do with the money.
Des, I respect your reasoning and logic. but as has been pointed out, the techniques to get them running is cruel, now if we are going to use your ideas for venues, then it has to be cougars with politicians doing the running.
Now, if they really want to Americanize it, they should forget the bulls (introduced species) and use buffalo.
