Ok, I'm gonna be honest with what I think and I'll either get chewed out or modded.....

Personally, I think you got what you deserved for having an affair with a married woman. So why not just leave the guy alone? Haven't you put him through enough? It wasn't his fault. It was yours and her's. He was the one hurt by you both.

Count the money loss as a lesson.
