Bit of a surprising choice. I've seen him in several
things including the Bill Forsyth movie Local Hero.
He's Scottish like David Tennant. We'll see, I guess.
I never really warmed up much to Matt Smith.
So, I'm anxious to see what this guy does with the part.

I liked the look of him and he's been pretty good in the couple of things I've seen him in. I'll just wait and see. Although almost anyone would be better than Smith.

I would watch Pegg and Frost doing Henry V, briefly, but Pierce Brosnan as Dr W? No!!!! he is James Bond therefore he can't be Dr. Who.

It's like asking Bruce Willis to play Rambo, no one would buy it. You get one defining hero role and you're stuck with it. Peter Capaldi is Malcolm Tucker, end of. I am just imagining millions of young kids googling him.....the language in the school yard is going to be fucking dreadful, lol

First Brosnan was not a very good James Bond. I still think Connery was the best bond. Just like Roger Moore was Simon Templar (geez this is dating me)

Honestly, since Tennant, finding a good Doctor is going to be difficult.

After Tennant they chose Matt Smith and I thought, fuck, they are just playing to the kids, but Capaldi is soooo left field you just have to laugh, sorry, you just have to fucking laugh.

I am just starting on David's tenure. I use Lizard's Netflix account to catch up on the season. The regeneration from Christopher to David was mind-blowing.

Mom knows when I go, "shit, 2 parter", that means she does not get the computer.

I did enjoy watching Captain Jack's clothes vaporize though...MEOW!

I like the new doc...altho I havent seen" Thick of it" yet, I have downloaded it, but hes a pretty good actor, the accent helps:) but I was hoping they would freak everyone out and bring Tennant back....I have very rude fantasies about him....and would love to see him AND capt Jack
but im a hopeless perv
