AAkasha -> Question about triggering the spam filter (8/5/2013 1:22:13 PM)

If you are having a normal discussion via email with someone and you decide to copy and paste a block of text from work to illustrate something in the middle of an email, does that simple action trigger the spam filter because it's a copy and paste action? Is it better to just put that text on a web site and have them go to it? I hate sending people to a web site because it makes people nervous.

I think it's multiple emails sent out in a certain time frame that triggers the filter. I've cut/pasted content I've emailed people and never triggered the filter.

I cut and paste stuff all the time. Never triggered the spam issue. That's usually issued when you send out too many emails at once.

Thanks stef.

From previous comments from the mods on similar threads, my understanding is that the spam filter is triggered either by many other users individually reporting your messages as spam, or the system picking up on you sending many messages with the same body of text in them.

I'm not sure what the magic number is.
