By local standards, and I probably need to stress that a little, it has been very pleasant here the last couple weeks. Daily highs have only been in the mid-90's. Much better than the 100 and fuckteen we were getting at the end of June.

73 here. Any chance we could get ten or 15 of your degrees and get back to pool weather? If we could split it, we'd both be a lot happier.

Sorry, Shahar. I can only imagine how hot it is for you right now. I'd be melting away. (Not that I couldn't stand to lose a few pounds, but.........)

Des, you won't get many chances to say this. It's officially colder where you are than where I am in Alaska. We are at 83 degrees right now and will be in the mid-fifties for the low tonight. (Prediction was 76 for today.) By next week, we'll be running ten degrees less for both the highs and the lows *if* the extended forecast is correct.

By the end of the month, our average will be sixty for a high and 41/42 for the low. We won't have dog days of summer like folks do in the lower forty-eight.

Not happy- PA is going to get 86 and humid is a few days. I thought we were done with that.

It is about 73 now- and it wants to rain but wont. we are due for 1 inch.

Lizard's BF (he's 21) just came by with a basket of clothes...he is a security guard and has to work in this heat. At least he is off tomorrow to where all 3 of us will go to the new place and have them sign the lease before the move on Saturday. I have to travel back home tomorrow as well, so I am sticking bottles of water in the fridge to chill down.

STUPID, STUPID, STUPID!!!!

The town next to Austin wants to open a water park next year...Texas is in a middle of a drought. WTF are they going to use for water? Austin is on level 2 restriction as it is...unless a few hurricanes come through, there should be no water park develop.
