Not even looking this time. Same shit happened years ago and this might even be the same incident, because not that many scumbags are stooopid enough to let the cat out of the bag. Last time it was a message on an answering machine, is it the same now ? Really, I didn't check. T^T

Her consistent mentioning of her positions on various committees certainly does make it sound like she's attempting to be bribed. But, the message seems to show that the company she contacted is already working on the projects, so there is no explicit pay-to-play going on. Attempting to leverage funds by use of committee position shouldn't be allowed. I doubt Rep. Eleanor Holmes Norton is doing anything different than every other Representative is doing. Doesn't make it right, but how do you hold only one accountable?

She sure was asking for some "cake!" What was that operation back in the 80's or 90's that busted a bunch of congressmen for taking money? "Operation Overlord" or something? They videotaped and audiotaped them in a hotel room taking money. You can call it a "contribution" or whatever else you want but congressmen should never "take money!"
