jlf1961 -> The games our pets play (8/7/2013 5:59:40 AM)

I just spent an enjoyable 45 minutes on my back porch watching my dogs play some ball game that seemed to be a mix of soccer, rugby, football. There seemed to be no teams, as each dog worked to take the tennis ball from the dog that had the ball, who would toss it in the air and try to catch it before another dog got it, and took off running until they were tackled, or they tossed the ball in the air. It seemed to be a game of attrition, as each dog tired they dropped out of the game and came up on the deck and watched the others play with me. The game ended when Blu my pit/lab mix pup realized after 15 minutes of playing by himself that he was the only one playing. Admittedly I should have either put down my coffee or my smokes and grabbed my phone to take pictures, but at 7 in the morning, Nicotine and Caffeine have a priority as a homicide prevention drug. This thread is for the pet owners just to discuss the insane behavior of these wonderful partners we have.
