I am sorry, but there are a few movie plots that are really being over done.

1) The green wire. In the movies where the hero is trying to disarm a bomb, someone always says "Cut the green wire" presumably because green is always the ground which is the general standard for electricians. Red is power, black is negative. It makes sense to cut the power lead, since with no power, the bomb timer cannot trigger the detonators.

2) Cliche endings for movies, the guy gets the girl lives happily ever after, the bad guy gets killed in a gun fight, the slasher comes back from the dead after being killed by the virginal (okay, near virginal) heroine.

How bout the girl tells the guy to fuck off because she is lesbian? The bad guy kills the good guy, and the slasher goes over board killing the heroine.

Re: disarming the bomb. Every time you see this scene, they have a digital display counting down the minutes and seconds, especially if it's a "Big Scary Bomb". The one scene like this that really riles me is in The Fifth Element, where the bad guy disables his bomb, only to have the one from the Evil Ugly Aliens pop up out of its hiding place with the same number of seconds remaining. In conventional Arabic numerals, not their own notation, like in Predator.
