Kirata -> The New and Improved Reply to Message Box (8/18/2013 1:07:47 AM)

Somebody's dictionary doesn't include the word "debug".

I'm finding that the new Reply to Message box doesn't handle links correctly, ignores font formatting except in the compose window (the post doesn't display in the selected font), and with that as a start there's probably more. Have you noticed anything else?

Let's see. I haven't tried this yet.

Supposedly the word debug stems from a dead moth found in an early computer. One of the first computer bugs was literally a bug. [:)]

ETA: This seems to have worked.

Problems I found were hyperlink failures:

And the selected font for this post is Arial.

yes, type a word and then do a B I U in place, one after another, and see that the analyzer counts letters short each time.

demonstration I will BIU the entire word:

twatwaffle

it ends up for those who cannot see the tagging...

twatwaffle

And that fuckin bot timer for posting messages should be counting in packets of at least 5 not single intermessage time, because I can type up two quickies, and occasionally it at least left the text in the box when you got the message so you could wait and resubmit but now it wipes it out again.

Yet it all works right on the message boxes in mail. Now why would you not have exactly the same reusable code in each case?
