Lothiriel0421 -> Dealing with Harrassment (8/19/2013 3:07:41 AM)

So...what is the protocol here for dealing with being harassed? Do I just block them through the messages? I am not sure this is the correct place to post this inquiry, but I am new and I keep getting messages from users saying they are going to have me banned because I won't go on cam with them to prove I am a 'real person'.

I am a little bewildered as to why people feel the need to act this way, but I suppose that just shows how much of a novice I am at this whole 'meeting people on the internet' thing. Any advice on how to handle it would be greatly appreciated.

TeaseAndSpankMe -> RE: Dealing with Harrassment (8/19/2013 3:28:12 AM)

I've never received emails from others stating they will get me banned if I don't cam to 'prove' who I am. That being said, I also have it clearly written in my profile that I will *never* cam or send out multiple pictures of myself. I state very clearly that I also do not do long distance and that I seek someone within my local area. I have met a couple of wonderful people through here and have made some new friends.

There are definitely some colorful characters on here...lol. Nobody can get you banned because you refuse to cam. I would block them...then 'bless & release'. ;)

You can also change your email settings to filter out certain people from emailing you...for example...I got tired of the numerous 22 year old guys proclaiming their lofty dominance and that age is just a number. So, anyone under 35 goes to my 'bulk' mail...the same for anyone significantly older than myself.

I hope that helps and best to you in your search! :)

The messages you are getting are a well known scam to have attractive females bare themselves to prove they are really female.

Report them on the profile side, then block them. Then ignore them.

Welcome to the discussion side, Lothiriel. Don't forget that as a highly attractive female, you get to be very picky.

Thanks darlin!

I really appreciate the response! I was starting to freak out a bit as I've never been harassed over the internet before.

MissWillow -> RE: Dealing with Harrassment (8/19/2013 3:42:59 AM)

Your young, your new so you will get lots of them trying to get you to give a cam show. This is just one of those scams.

You can also expect the "helpful" female Domme sending you a msg letting you know people are reporting you being a male with fem pic.
And she can help you out if you come on cam for her. ( sometimes even claiming being part of cm staff) Again this is a scam.

Than of course there are the "subs" that can`t take no for an answer and try harassing you.

You will find nice people here but also a lot of scum. Best advice, grow a thick skin fast and use that block button.

MD

Unfortunately, some Horny net geeks (HNGs) think that all lifestyle women are easy.

This happens a lot, take it with a grain of salt. I don't put much stock into who people from the internet say they are till I meet them, or have enough time with them to feel confident that they're being honest. People pose as anything they like in order to get what they want.

There's a "Domme" in my area who goes around trying to get women to match up with a male Dominant because he doesn't have time to do that for himself. Yeah right [8|]
Users lie about age and location or height, weight, etc. You'll get people saying that they're moving to your area soon [:-]
People pretend that they aren't married.
Men pretend to be their own submissive female partners hoping that you'll hook up with them if you think some other woman vouches for them.
Men pose as women to get nude pictures and stories. They especially love to be lesbians.
Etc.

FR

There is no requirement to cam verify to be part of this site. So you have no need to prove you are female. Ignore, block, delete.

You've gotten some good advice here. I would like to add my $0.02.

The Internet is infested with a lot of people who pose as someone else, such as a credit card company, bank, dominant male, sub female, etc. You get the picture. I hear this a lot on all sorts of sites once someone identifies themselves as female that they are swarmed on like buzzards on a gut wagon. Guys want pictures, they want to video chat with you, they want to talk on Skype right away, etc. It only happens because the Internet provides anonymity so the male of the species can't get slapped in the face or virtually kicked in their naughty bits, because of the fact there are often no real life consequences for their own poor behavior.

I would no more walk up to a woman in real life and say, "Kneel before me you slut and do my bidding." than I would online because I just don't believe that you should approach anyone like that. Not that I haven't met some women that I would love to say that to, I don't think that is a good opening line in order to stimulate a dialog that doesn't end up with me being punched out or arrested. It is a shame really because it is mostly insecure people that feel like they must show how dominant they are by acting like that. I never have used that approach and I never will.

I think a thick skin is in order. Toughen up a bit and realize there are more morons per square inch online then you will run into in real life, where you can kick their teeth in for being a rude asshole. Also, keep in mind that you have a "Block" button that is just dying for you to virtually nuke the offending muletard. Please also remember that not all people you meet are like that, there are some good ones out there. My theory is that if you spend enough time talking online with someone and you have a fairly good memory, you can weed out the phonies pretty quick. Of course the overt ones will reveal themselves in a much shorter amount of time.

Good luck and happy hunting!

Also, you might want to use the "hover" feature that allows you to see the message before actually opening it. Then delete it "unread" and block as appropriate. It denies them even that little thrill that their message got through. [;)]

mnottertail -> RE: Dealing with Harrassment (8/19/2013 11:50:48 AM)

You just block them and move on.

Now, get on cam with me and show me your tits and your ass, and then show up in person to give me a blowjob, or I will report you and have you banned.
