I believe both Julius Caesar and Mark Antony were very
interested in the riches of Egypt not just Cleo herself.

She looked to them for military power/ protection.
And all three were making political alliances in addition
to personal ones. The idea that Cleopatra stripped Mark
Antony of his manhood is Octavian Augustus propaganda.
They were a power couple, loved one another and rolled
the dice to rule the world together. But Cleopatra never
needed a man for his money she was a very rich woman.

Mainstream porn, I agree with you.
