You ever read news headlines that really make you wonder about two things, the guy writing the headlines, and the official spokesman giving the statement? Yesterday, there was a news report of a man in Australia who was attacked by a large saltwater crocodile and the police were searching for him. Today the headline is: Australia man snatched in crocodile attack feared dead First of all, if you dont find a living person on the banks of the river, then the person is underwater, and unless he is aqua man, he has either drowned or died from blood loss. Now there are two problems with this incident. 1) The man went swimming. Area clearly marked warning of the presence of these large predators, park personnel warned people to stay out of the water. He chose to go swimming. A large croc saw a meal and as crocs do, grabbed said meal and took it home with him. 2) The man went swimming, after being warned, so why waste money looking for the idiot? The odds are if they find him, he is not going to be all in one piece, and if they find the crocodile, that animal is going to be shot and killed, which is wrong. Why punish the animal for the stupidity of a human. The human chose to add his or herself to the food chain, the animal did not make them do it. The real question is did this man have a chance to pass on the "terminally stupid" gene?
