So, I got linked to Shiniez's comic Sunstone on Deviantart and I just absolutely fell in love with it. The characters (Especially Allison), the story, the art, just everything about it.

But I look at it and have to wonder if the real thing is anything like that. A part of me has fallen in love with Ally's character (the Mistress) and I look at her and think, that's what I want. I want the sort of Mistress/submissive relationship she has with Lisa. But is that even possible, or just wishful thinking on my part?

Is it possible, sure. The comic starts off about the misconceptions of an online relationship. How reality and fantasy differ, and then scarily match. So if you talk to enough people out there, you could find that connection with another that meshes both in fantasy and reality. You just have to keep picking through the coal until you find that diamond I suppose

Ugh, such a tedious process...doesn't feel like it's ever going to pay off

The odds against any single unusual event happening around you (being passed by 3 blue cars in a row on a freeway, finding $5 on the street, etc) are very high, but they happen anyway. You can't win the lottery if you never play. ;)
