Best way for a carpenter to learn how to be a dom or sub? Measure twice, cut once.

Hi Johnny & welcome to CM.

The best way to learn anything on CM is to visit & contribute to the forums.

We're a great bunch of people there, if there's anything you want to know about, there's always someone there to help you out with info.

Look for the Ask A Mistress/Master/sub/switch sections.

Plus of course the forums are good fun.

Hi johnny

Welcome to CM and the forums.

This (coming over to this side, not just posting a profile then start emailing a bunch of prospects) is an excellent start.

Read the forums. Ask questions. Read other stuff. Reference type stuff. Not fantasy-based crap. Maybe take a look on Amazon for a good primer or two.

Think about what you want and need. Think about what is reasonable to expect to have to offer the other person who supplies that. ALWAYS consider the other person.

Look for local meetups. Munches are casual meetings in bars or restaurants where kinksters just hang out and socialize. There may be training events near you. Google is your friend. Start with the search term BDSM plus your home town or state.
