In deciphering just what is chemistry between people and knowing full well we very often use that word to describe how we feel...science may be on to something.

Interpersonal neurobiology...(now an interdisciplinary research) how the brain reacts to life experiences and how that causes changes in the body's cells. Among those experiences is the contact you have with other people and just how one reacts to that contact. Included in this field of study is the effect

What we find is that a Dr. Seigel coined this phrase for the early development of the child. This is how mother and father (assuming the child has both) Researchers however now suggest that such a neurobiology and almost any interpersonal contact can still effect your neurobiology. We see much of society's children because mom & dad both work, now are being 'raised' by care takers, childhood school teachers and even nannies.

So the idea is that how a person can act is often determined by how they biologically react to the person they are close to. So just being in the presence of (very close to) somebody can trigger these reactions from yours and his biological responses. These are not only inputs from your young age but also has you very lucky in the presence of such others, especially if these reactions as they often do...turn sexual.

But girl, any regular wetness my dear occuring fairly often when next to a person of interest, likely means your interpersonal neurobiology...makes you a slut.

A lot of disconnected babble without links to actual sources, followed by a comment addressed to one particular person in order to call her names. Really op, you should know better.

I have known for ages that every interpersonal interaction we have ever had in the past will influence every interpersonal interaction we will have in the future; I just never knew there was an official name for it.

As for "chemistry", you are missing an obvious influence: pheromones.

First of all, info on interpersonal neurology is all over the Internet. Secondly as to the last comment, it was directed at all women and means you have no sense of humor.

Well while I can't dispute what you suggest, the science and the study now is not just being close but the reaction of it, down to the cellular level.
As for chemistry, I am saying and research is suggesting, it is very likely, that those cellular changes could be creating pheromones.

Neurobiology is interesting but it is over rated imo. Psychology is complicated enough without going into this stuff. ...Hormones are especially interesting though. Anyone been on testosterone boosters?

Psychology is so complicated precisely because we don't have the knowledge to understand the chemical and neurological interactions.

I have a hard time believing that. Its kinda like what came first the chicken or the egg.

I think chemistry is a very primal animialistic behavior. As Chatte said, if we knew more about the inner workings of the brain, psychology would simplify. It sounds like babble to me also, I think it sounds more accurate that pheromones are released then there are cellular changes.
This theory doesn't explain, instant attraction, where one has had little to no interpersonal relationship with the person who sets you on fire instantly, which appears either for some unknown reason, or a reason we sometimes want to deny.

Wow, being attracted to someone makes a woman a prostitute? REALLY? Could not the same be said of MALES who run around getting erections every time they see ANY woman? *yawn* You just made this potentially interesting topic off-putting by your unprofessional attitude. I actually had some scientific info to to add to the discussion, until I read your last line.

...won't be following.

Oh Maine, don't be like that Take no offense and share the info with us. I am interested, don't deny the rest of us, because of a offensive sense of humor.
