Good ole Pat had this to say today about gay men with HIV http://www.rightwingwatch.org/content/robertson-gay-people-deliberately-spread-hivaids-cutting-people-special-rings So which is it, is he evil or just totally insane?

Since he claims God told him about most of his claims, and he is also ultra consrevative, I would suggest Robertson is a right wing religious nutcase. If its true he is claimimg gay men are deliberately infecting people, that could be construed as hate speech.

I never really thought he was evil, but perhaps misguided and a bit insane. Plus, he's getting up there in years (83), so senility may also be a factor. On the other hand, if he really is evil, then he might just go on indefinitely, like some aged Emperor Palpatine.

FR I don't know a great deal about Robertson, but he seems to believe what he says, which would make me lean more toward "insane" than "evil." That said, I do think he's been something of a force for evil in American life and politics.

Looking at the original question in the OP, I agree most of Mr. Robertson's statements (both this one and many past declarations) could be construed as either evil or insane, but from my personal perspective they are all best classified as "irrelevant."

When someone quotes that God has spoken to them and they spit up crazy logic I attribute that to personal agenda. God told me so right after He said that everyone on the forum needs to fund my toy habit.
