It's amazing how people have given the Zimmerman incident so much attention.

But when cases like this happen, well...

Why isn’t this case just as significant as the Trayvon Martin case? Actually, scratch that. Given the ambiguous nature of the Trayvon Martin case, why isn’t this case an even bigger deal?

Why is the attack on Charles Babbit not inspiring that great racial dialogue that liberals want to have? Especially since there are a lot more white people like Charles Babbit killed by black Americans than vice-versa? Does Charles Babbit’s life not matter because it doesn’t fit the narrative that liberals want to present about America being an awful racist place where people like Charles Babbit victimize thugs like Lashawn Marten?

Lake Mary Police are now questioning the validity of several statements Shellie Zimmerman made when she told 911 dispatchers her estranged husband, George Zimmerman, threatened her and her father at gunpoint Monday afternoon.

"We did not find a gun, did not locate a weapon," said Zach Hudson, public information officer with the Lake Mary Police Department. "Nobody ever saw a gun. A gun is not part of this story." Still, a gun was at the crux of the account Shellie Zimmerman provided to 911 dispatchers when calling for help.

"He continually has his hand on his gun and he keeps saying, 'Step closer.' He is just threatening all of us," Shellie can be heard telling dispatchers.

Either she told the truth on the call and he should have been arrested or she lied while making the call and she should be arrested.

which is it?

Or he could have been acting like he had a gun behind his back, that is where he wore his concealed handgun, and since she knows he shoots people for little reason she was concerned for the safety of herself and her father.

From what I can make out there were supposed to have been two guns involved. First, Shellie and her father found a gun at the house while they were getting her stuff. They confronted Georgie about it, and I think that is when he supposedly pulled the knife. After George punched Shellie’s father and broke the Ipad (or whatever it was) he then got back in his vehicle, which is where he kept patting the area where he normally carried his gun. Shellie didn’t see the gun at his waist, but assumed that was what he was patting. O’Mara said that George DID have his gun, but that he was “just checking to make sure it was still holstered” because George is very conscientious about his responsibility when carrying a gun.

(Info gathered from several different links provided by various posters and I’m not swearing to the accuracy of any of it. That’s just my take on what I’ve read.)

FYI: None of the minority posters on this board have anything approaching a persecution complex.

I absolutely love this quote from O'Mara:
"I've come to know them as a family, and it's not a good idea to get in between them," O'Mara said.

Not a bit. She is leaving him and doesn't want anyone to think she supported him. So now she says she didn't believe him to cover her own ass. At this point I wouldn't believe much she said or really care one way or another.
