Do not forget that based on science Al Gore told us the Washington Monument would be underwater in 20 years, that was 1988 he kept making the same prediction until the middle of the last decade.

... exactly as I said... some of us know what science is. Apparently neither you nor Al Gore do. I also said some of us understand both the strengths and the limitations of science. Again, you apparently do not but that's ok. Science has told us many, many things which were wrong as any scientist would tell you. But let me ask you this. What's your alternative, ouija boards?

Your assumption that I know nothing about science is misplaced.
The same group of scientist who predicted this were predicting an ice age 10-15 years earlier.
The fact that I do not consider them the fount of all knowledge doesn't say a thing about the extent of my knowledge.
These things need to be taken with a grain of salt, particularly with the admissions of "adjusting" the data when it didn't fit.
Are you willing to turn the West into the third world on their say?

Like I've said all along the "global warmers" (or whatever they're calling themselves this week) should be required to wear green blazers, kahki short pants and beanies with propellers on top so we know who they are.
With those people ideology always trumps intellect.
They build a conclusion around a belief. Just like the far right holy rollers!
Think about it, there's not a dime's worth of differance between them, many of the holy rollers even wear blazers while being totally intransigent in their beliefs.

More intellectual dishonesty...

For example, Marco Rubio does not deny climate change only the false and politically driven slant that its causes are man made and that by taking proper measures, enlightened leaders will curb, stop and reverse its effects.

Again, mankind needs to use our skills to ADAPT to climate change, not stopping it. We need MORE air conditioning not less!

I have met a lot of people who think Gore and his groupies are a bunch of idiots but I have never met anyone who denied global climate change. Now it could be because I come from a state that was formed by the glaciers moving from major climate change. Or it could be that the some are claiming that people don't believe in climate change because it makes them sound like idiots and they just love to paint the other side as stupid.

The tough part is teasing apart how much climate change is due to humans and how much would have happened anyway with or without us. Earth's temperature and climate do go through phases, and have been doing so long before humans showed up. No doubt we're also trashing the environment and affecting that rate and direction of change. It doesn't have to be either-or.
