Tangle Teezer

I've read several reviews about this product, but I'm wondering if anyone here has personal experience...

My sisters and I (or at least I did) have long, curly, and thick hair... this apparently is "all the rage" for our kind of hair...

Anyone care to help me out? Is it worth the money? Does it work the way they say?

Thanks in advance for your input.

Allie

Just looks like any other brush to me. I don't see how it would work any differently than any other brush. I personally wouldn't pay the money for it.

I do however, like the brush my daughter bought me recently. I find it detangles my hair pretty nicely and helps to soak up excess water so my hair doesn't take as long to blowdry in the morning.

I'm glad this new (to you) brush isn't second-hand.

That kind of grosses me out in the same way that the idea of shopping for undies at a garage sale grosses me out.

LW-- I took a look at the link you provided..it is a neat concept. Do you have curly, wavy, or straight hair? It seems to me that curly hair would tangle around the bristles and fabric that sucks up the water. Also, one of the differences that I've read in reviews is that there is no seam on the bristle... it's continuous bristle without the little bulb on the end... minimizing pull. Thanks for your input.

Hlen...oh what I would give for a spanking! Hairbrush or not...

Tommy..maybe I should have put a little more thought into the title... agreed about sharing brushes..and especially buying used panties. Yikes! Do people really do that? How about shoes? That freaks me out as well!

If we're talking about detangling (I just woke up about two hours ago and still not focused yet, so may have read everything wrong), the best detangler is a leave in spray conditioner called ITSA10. I swear by it. My hair is naturally curly and THICK. This stuff works better than that detangling brush I bet.

That looks like a cool brush, lw. I don't blow dry my hair often, b/c I have baby fine and it's fragile. That get me out the door faster in the winter.

K,

I wasn't necessarily talking about detangling, but thanks for the tip on ITSA10.

The product I inquired about was just brought to my attention and I was wondering if anyone heard of it or used it... I thought it would be a neat addition to a Christmas present.. more so than a gift card, but I wasn't sure if I would be wasting my money.

Thanks for the input

Allie

That reminds me, there was a hairbrush by a guy Mark Jacobs or some fancy name, it claimed to cause less breakage in long hair than others.

Anyone know it.

Yes. There are some people, who really do buy used panties and shoes.

I apologize if I offended you. I know that you struggle with money, and in the past (and currently on occasion) I have as well. It is my personal preference that I purchase those items new... No matter the financial constraints..I've always found enough to do that.

Not offended, but thank you. I have been lucky enough not to have to get used panties.

Yes, I was thinking of ppl who had to buy thrift shop panties, I donated 2 nice denim skirts and some tops to a Christian thrift shop, and they sold second hand donated panties and bras.

I have bone straight, very fine hair. When it's short it doesn't take long at all to dry but with it being long now it seems to take forever to dry even with the blow dryer so the brush is nice in that it sucks up a lot of the water while I'm brushing it and it isn't harsh on my scalp.

Yeah, mine is baby fine as well but I'm usually in a rush to get out the door to work in the morning and I don't like going out with wet hair so I usually will blow my hair on a hot setting for a couple of minutes and then finish it off on the cool setting so it won't be so fragile. My hair is such a pain in the ass!
