This righ now is one happy and thrilled submissive i was just collared by my wonderful Master Matt.  We have been together 5 months (i know some may think that was quick)we just know it was right and what we both wanted.  It feels like an even deeper comitmment.

Have others felt this way(about the comitmment i mean)?

Congrats on getting collared. Yes, for me it very much strengthened my commitment to my Dom. Right now I wear a temporary collar for our first year. Then I get a ceremony and a beautiful collar that we are designing together. I already feel completely owned by him, but I understand his wanting to wait the year and to really make sure we are getting what we want from each other. Best of luck to you!! [:)]

First, i would like to say congratulations. I know how excited i was when i was collared, so i can only imagine how you feel.

As far as commitment goes a collar signifies the ultimate commitment, IMO anyway. Even more of a commitment than a wedding ring. Again, IMO

My feelings on collars are that they are very special and show deep commitment between Dom/sub, Master/slave, etc.

When I am collared, it will cement the commitment for me. Not something I will do lightly.

And yes, for me the commitment was deeper than anything I could have imagined, and still is.

Well, we didn't balance the checkbook that night, but we did go out for a pizza and a movie the night he put the collar on me.

congrats... I would add that I don't think 5 months is all that quick relative to most.  what matters most thou is the effort that went into building that connection during those 5 months.  I wish you the best.. ...... Now go have a pizza and a movie..

I dont think  5 months is to quick at all.  I am hoping to collar my boy, and its been less than 3.  When it is right, you just know it. Congrats, we wish you the best of luck.

And incidentally, the night we are doing his collaring, we DO have pizza and a movie planned... how fitting.

Firstly, may i just add my congratulations to the list as well.
 
i woz collared on May 29th, which woz 33 days ago (not that i'm counting[:-]) and know how excited i STILL am, and so kinda know how you feel hun... 
 
and 5 months isn't a short time either, but it don't matter, coz like has already been said... when it feels like the right time for you both, then it prolly is[;)]
 
finally, if i can just wish you and your Master all the very best, and hope you'll both be as happy as me and my Master.

Thank you all actually during those 5 months and still i see Master 5 days a week and it just keeps getting better and better.  I feel like the luckiest sub in the world. I love him so much.

collars are very special to me, i have had the honor of wearing a collar before, and hope that i can earn that right back!!! as for how long you two have known each other, its up to the individual relationships.. some go onto 2 years before they collar a girl, and some are collared after three months.. kinda like being married if you ask me!
