If I may give my experiences with different chastity devices over the last decade or so.
The leather and metal chastity devices such as the Stallion Guard, although the metal is nice, the leather straps cut into the underside of the scrotum and the 'D-Ring' the lock goes through stretches the leather holes. Great for short term play but one can pull out of the base of it at will. It can be worn under clothes as long as you are flacid, on a scale of 1 to 10 I would give it a 4.5.
The CB3000 model, has the hinged rings which can cause pinching and even with the right ring, some of the devices, even the 'real ones' from original manufacturer can split and cause the zipper effect on the shaft if you have a larger girth than the penis cage. That and rolling over at night putting pressure on it can cause the zipper efffect as well. These can be worn under clothes without the general public knowing. On a scale of 1 to 10, I would rate it a 6.
The BirdLocked device. It has the small brace that seperates the balls which is nice. It is more comfortable than the Stallion Guard or the CB3000 and CB6000 models. This can also be pulled out of the back, as can any device we have tried which does not include a belt to lock it in place. The drawback on the Silicon BirdLocked device was if it isn't rinsed and dried properly, it causes soap residue to burn the penis and shaft leaving marks and soreness/redness. We thought it may be an alergic reaction to the silicon, but removing it prior to showering/bathing and putting it back on when dry, no redness or swelling. But this takes away the semi-permenant wearing of the BirdLocked device. On a scale of 1 to 10 we give it an 8 due to the comfort level while wearing and the lack of noticability under clothes.
The CB6000 and CB600s models (currently wearing the CB6000s and have been for nearly a year - with breaks allowed for cleaning and travel. Airport security just doesn't like these things. :-) ). are similar, the 's' model has the shorter penis cage, which is great until you get excited. Then you know you are in chastity. Don't drink to much after 8:00 and you won't be waking up in the middle of the night with a tight sac and in pain from night wood. These devices are almost invisible under clothing and you can excercise in them, just like the BirdLocked. The pieces like the CB3000 model are hard plastic. The two CB6000 devices we have from the original vendor, both split with the Zipper effect and the top ring piece has broke in two, the post holes in several rings have broken as well. Again, my girth and length are both larger than the CB6000 and CB6000s, which caused some of the breakage, but A&L Enterprises was great about sending new pieces (they sell extras on their site.) we would give the CB6000 model an 8 out of 10 and the CB6000s model an 8.5 out of 10. The difference, the CB6000s has not zipped on my shaft yet. :-)
The Kalis Teeth Bracelet for chastity is painful. The spikes remind you not to get an erection, but if you do, you will suffer. The con to this device, it is heavy and in flacid mode when only on the shaft, the shaft will fall out of the device if you are a 'grower' and not a 'show-er'. There was a site which made the ring to hold in on the base of the shaft like similar chasity devices, but they closed down manufacturing. On a scale of 1 to 10, we give this a 3 for chastity but an 8 for BDSM.
There are several chastity shorts but they don't allow urination. These would not be good for long time wear, so we give them a 5 for looks and short time play, but not for long term, although they are good starters, but not for the money vendors want for them.
There are several belt type of devices, with some of the best coming out of Europe and now Australia/New Zealand. We can't rate these devices as we have not put out the money required to purchase them. There is one which has a 'one-time' lock. Once locked, you have to destroy the belt to remove it, as it is not a padlock, but is built into the belt for one-time use.
If you don't want to be able to pull your shaft out of the base ring, then get a chastity belt type of device. There are Points of Intrigue and other guards for sale on the Internet which claim to stop the ability of the wearer from pulling out, but you still can pull out, in some cases you leave marks on the head of the penis and in other cases it is nearly impossible to slide back into the cage.
As for the Online Mistress and having someone hold your keys. It is a logical fear of the unknown and you never know. There is always bolt cutters from the local hardware store or department store to remove the pad locks. Been there, done that when MM was out of town for a few weeks on an extended vaction and the maid through the keys away with some trash she threw out. I think she did it on purpose. lol
Recommendation, pick up a CB6000, CB6000s or a BirdLocked device, or something similar. Find the right ring by experimenting. You should not have a burning sensation with the right ring on the device around your base. You should also not be able to pull your sac out from between the ring and the cage if you slide your penis out of the back of the ring. If you can, go with the next smaller ring until you can't slide out completely. Next, take a gallon milk jug, fill it half full with water and freeze it. Take one of the keys and place it in the jug, add cold water and refreeze the full jug. One key is available after the water freezes in the jug, but only if in an emergency and you have to break/chizel the ice to get to the key. Take the second key and use it in testing the Chastity device rings. Once you find the perfect fit, put the key in a self addressed stamped envelope, lock yourself up and mail the key to yourself.
You will be locked up for no less than two days but have an emergency out in the event it is needed. Both keys can be frozen this way if needed/wanted.
We have about 30 keys on a key ring, two mini-key combination lock holders, (Ace hardware for $9.99). Then a larger locked key box these are in and then the keys to it are kept by MM. But I have someone to live with.
You can keep a key locked in ice and then search CollarMe or where-ever for an online Mistress. Most Key-holders charge a fee to hold your keys for you, they will usually include email, online, cam or live tease and denial sessions depending of the fee. If you only send one key until you are sure of their intentions, you will still have the emergency key in the block of ice. :-)
