ORIGINAL: PeonForHer quote:
I have a fetish for big tough guys submitting. So while on one hand I love to see what someone's got going on... I also feel really, really fucking guilty when a guy who I think is hot messages me. Because I don't consider myself to be attractive. It's sheer social math. It's hard to turn it off after you've been told that a billion times. And I know it's dumb, and I don't actually have a lot of body issues--I like me just fine and ironically, I'm far more self confident as a fat adult than I was as a teenager and a healthy high-end-of-normal weight--but my first instinct when someone puts their sexuality and attractiveness first is, shit, they're going to be so turned off when they see me, I can't invest any of myself in this superficial person because obviously the first thing they think about themselves is, hey look, I'm HOT. And I'm not. Oh! It was very candid, and brave, of you to say all that, but saddening, as well. I'm reminded of some research whose conclusion I've seen reflected frequently: that women tend to think they're less attractive than they are. The first time I saw them was in relation to an interview with Bo Derek, star of the film '10' and considered - well, a screen goddess. Anyway, she revealed that she'd always considered herself ugly. Have you seen this advert? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XpaOjMXyJGk its very touching, strangers meet a women then the stranger and the woman describe the woman to a sketch artist and the two photographs are show together - and guess what?? The things the women hate about themselves the stranger dosent even see, the strangers descritions are far prettier and closer to the truth Peon, I do know what you mean, I feel like that myself sometimes too, but everyone finds different things attractive so it is not up to you to judge yourself not hot enough for someone, you look lovely to me
