Status: offline 		The linked video where some nuts attack Planned Parenthood is truly unbelievable. They try and argue that teens get hooked on sex by being exposed to PP sex ed materials. Apparently they are counting on the fundies to have forgotten that everything makes a teen think about sex.

It's a freedom of speech thing. It makes it much easier to spot the shitheads (and there are certainly plenty on display in the link).

Well, it keeps things interesting here, don't you think? In all fairness, though, I think both sides of the spectrum have their share of fringe loonies, fanatics, and conspiracy theorists. Even an article like this might be considered somewhat fringe in that it seems to want to point out "look how dangerous these people are," which has ostensibly led others to believe that they should be shot for having kooky beliefs.

We ignore them when it's safe to do so, we mock them and laugh at them, we vote against them and, when necessary, we take them to court.

How do you put up with your fundies? And don't try to deny that you have them because I know that you do (where do you think our fundies came from?).

Of course we have fundies: we invented them. However, they're called 'eccentrics' here, especially if they're from upper class families. What we do with them is ignore them - and 'ignoring people' was also invented by the British, which is why we're so good at it. I doubt that. The Germans beat you to it with Lutheranism and when taken in its' broadest context (fundamentalism = "my way is the right way") we'd probably have to go to the cave days to find the first fundamentalist.

Again I am dubious that you invented 'ignoring people.' Yes, the stiff upper lip is admirable and all that but again I think you have to go back to the cave days to find the first instant of ignoring someone.
