Nice pic, but I liked the B&W one better. It emphasized your eyes more.

CoCo is pissed. She does not like diapers.

Love her cute name.
She's adorable.
It's good to get her spayed, much healthier for her if you aren't breeding her.
I think she likes the diaper though, sometimes a little embarrassment is a good thing. (Chortles)

...To think that I wouldn't have sense enough to make sure the diaper isn't too tight or bothering her, is ludicrous.

And yet you post a pic that clearly shows she is indeed 'bothered' by wearing them.

No I didn't, I was the one who captioned the pic. In the moment of the pic she was actually bouncing all over the couch, playing with her Toy. But you seem to know my dog better than me.[8|]
Needles, you're right, there's always going to be some negative ppl in a group that takes a cute pic and make it seem horrible. How silly of me to expect civility.

Everyone else, thanks or the pic compliment.

And Toys, thanks. I'm looking forward to getting her spayed. I'm afraid it'll have her uncomfortable but it's for the best.

Des, I'm gonna spay shortly. She just turned a year.

I figured you would soon.

As I said, my prejudice against late spaying was the result of a horse who was gelded late and never believed he should give way to the stallions. He challenged all the other horses and the feeders and was a bully to anyone who wouldn't stand up to him.

He also kept trying to unzip my purse to get to the peppermints inside.

Des, I've never had a dog spayed. The vet says she'll be fine within a day or two.

yep when it comes to animal welfare there will always be people that disagree with un-needed practices when there are alternatives. she is a cute dog; in fact she's bloody adorable, but that doesn't mean I have to agree that her wearing a diaper for your furniture's benefit is best for the dog.

btw I also like your new pic. your hair is lovely.

as a side note on spaying bitches for others. unless your dog is a really large breed that takes a lot of growing there is actually no need to wait until the bitch has had her first season. once she is six months old she can be spayed. waiting until they have had their first season can actually reduce some of the benefits of spaying.

Des.....as to horses. I do get where you are coming from with your experience of having a horse gelded late. however, it does totally depend on the horse. I've had stallions that have covered, or not had mares, that have been gelded at 5-6 years old with no further problems. damn tough job to know how their nature will be though when they are little. my foundation stallion was a dream horse in every way, but gelded or not he could never have gone out with other horses even though he was stabled next to them. from being weaned he was never turned out with anything again. where as all my boys were kept together in a natural boy only herd of one stallion with geldings.

You're right, you don't have to agree with anything I do. But just because you don't doesn't make you right. The alternative practice is to spay her, which I plan on doing when she is out of heat.
Thank you for your compliments about my dog and my pic.
