HICKS: I had already spoken to the defense attache. I asked what help is coming? And he said there's some fighters in Aviano but it's going to be 2 or 3 hours before they could make an appearance. It was clear it was going to be a long time before any help came. So I made sure that people knew that they were going to have to hold out for as long as they could. Kind of puts an end to the speculation. Earlier he had said that he was talking to the Defense attache..... Woods died 8 hours after start of fight...

No one denies that it would take the F-16's 3 hours to fly to Benghazi after the planes took off. What the dispute has always been is how long it would take to get to that point.

I would be extreemley dissapointed if the Air Force did not have the ability to get planes in the air within 45 minutes after receiving an order from the President of the United States! And what retarded moron commander did not have resources closer to Benghazi, especially after the known prior bombing and the British and Red Cross leaving because of the dangerous situation!?

Apparently we didn't have it there, available in the time frame, according to the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff. They know a great deal about that sort of thing, war materiel and operations, considerably more than a mid-level diplomatic drone.

Why, for example we have squadrons based in Aviano.. but last I checked, no war in italy. We have dozens and dozens of planes based in sigornella - it is the mediterranean supply hub, after all. And we have based war planes and gunships there, even during the Libyan war. We just didn't .. think to. Of course, because it conflicted with O's message that he had terrorism on the run and the arab spring was a good thing. So yeah, I have no problem basing gunships in sigornella. No problem at all in changing where troops are based.

Since you don't, and we all know there is no such thing, you've got nothing but your hatred.
