kittinSol -> Could BDSM be a heaven for phallocracy? (6/30/2006 9:05:15 PM)

I am curious, because although I am aware of the presence of Dominant women and switches, I have a sense that a woman who expresses herself passionately (as is the case with one who has european verve in her mind) is either brow-beaten or intimidated into 'submission' for not conforming to what is expected of her. Which is: be cute, or quiet, or both, or neither.

It was my belief this 'lifestyle' permitted an array of choices. Indeed, I was firmly convinced difference was encouraged in BDSM circles. So far,  a few subjects here have led me to the conclusion that the same old societal cliches abound. Women, be pretty and blink, and be subs. Or be strong, bark and be Dommes. Manwhile, the boys seem to be allowed to use the whole palette from the rainbow of self-expression.

I am just a little feminist with left-wing ideals and a penchant for high-heel shoes rofl! Is that so dangerous?!

*Meows and bites off a flea*

Why don't you just be what you are, and let other people be what they are?  OK, you're a feminist with left-wing ideals, but has anyone prevented you from being the person you need to be?

Nope, thank you for reminding me, O you darling elephanthumpophiliac rofl!

I am a little frustrated at having posts pulled, that's why. Thank you though, each time I see your avatar I laugh (authentic). And your posts are usually pretty hilarious too.

I had been hoping that you would turn out to be one of the ones around here upon whom we could rely not to start making vapid generalizations about the worldwide kink community just because some mod slapped your wrist.

What were they about?

And why the FUCK aren't you blinking, bitch?

kittinSol -> RE: Could BDSM be a heaven for phallocracy? (6/30/2006 10:08:36 PM)

*Sigh*: you are right, Noah, I'm letting myself down, aye. Thanks for slapping me back into shape lol!

I will not join the Dark Side of the Farce.

*curtesies*

Alright then.

So stick it to the man here. What were the pulled posts about? I'm sure the mods have changed shifts by now and the night shift guy is way mellow.

*Whispers in Noah's ear... guns and Gore (sic!) and... disagreement... debate... whisper... hush... shhhh... then... insults! Soooooo... I acted in self-defence and kept dead curteous considering the pond life I was dealing with, but... and ... so there.*

But shhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.

NakedOnMyChain -> RE: Could BDSM be a heaven for phallocracy? (6/30/2006 10:52:02 PM)

Eh, I don't blink much really.  You don't need to when you're a zombie.

kittinSol -> RE: Could BDSM be a heaven for phallocracy? (6/30/2006 11:09:48 PM)

Blink? You? I couldn't imagine such a thing. Blank neither, as a matter of fact.

Boing boing off to bed I spring.

Vive all the difference we can get in this community and others.

"I am just a little feminist with left-wing ideals and a penchant for high-heel shoes rofl! Is that so dangerous?!"

It is dangerous and scary ... but only to those who are unable to embrace the delightful diversity all around us... Enjoy your Jimmy Choos...

Wow, you should go through and read some more of the posts made her by the sub/slave ladies. There are to many who post with vivacity and conviction to list but a few who come to mind would be Lilltlebita, Mistoferin, slavejali, juliaoceania, Lamspeach, mercsbeth, LA (sorry to those i have missed)and myself.

Good.

LaTigresse -> RE: Could BDSM be a heaven for phallocracy? (7/1/2006 7:05:48 AM)

kittin, do not take to heart those that do not agree with you. I do not know about others but considering that my interest  is of the female pursuasion I am bored to death by women that lack intelligence, strong convictions and the courage to speak her mind and stand up for her convictions.
I am a firm believer in the saying "agreeing to disagree". A discussion does not have to be about winning or losing though many seem to feel it is. I quite often see this in those that also seem to feel that having the last word is winning. A recent thread contributor was the most perfect assinine example of that. If he only knew that his sad efforts only caused me to laugh and shake my head. I am all for being passionate about ones beliefs but there does come a point that it becomes childish and imature. It was a hard lesson I had to learn myself.

Well as the saying goes: "If you lie down with protists you wake up with ..."

But then again one might make a an exception for a protist with a suitably absorbing paramecia.

kitten, many men have had their posts pulled, as well. It's not a "let's shut the women up" thing; in fact, as far as I know, all or most of the mods are women.

Normally I'm not one to come to someone elses "poor me" thread and interrupt their personal whine when they get spanked by a Mod... however, as is the norm... the rest of you fine folk are only getting 1 side of the story, if you haven't read the actual thread in question.  http://www.collarchat.com/m_444118/tm.htm

In what I saw... kitten, you went in there with one thing in mind... guns blazing (heh)... and looking for a fight... then bashing not only Gor and Goreans.. but America and our Constitutional rights. Just because you were disruptive and get a little action from a Mod, doesn't mean that the whole realm of bdsm is a haven for phallocracy.

It just means the Mods do their best to keep the troublemakers in check.

well wishes,
T.R.
