Howdy! Welcome to the boards!
Many eons ago I briefly lived in Bremerton. At that time, Taco Bell was considered ethnic food and the Red Apple market had to special order tomatillos since no one there had ever heard of them. When I arrived March 16 (many eons ago) there was not a cloud in the brilliant blue sky. I thought: hmmm, everybody lied about Washington so nobody would move here. It's so green! So beautiful! The water's so clear! So rural! Wow, did I score!
3 weeks later, a tiny little cloud drifted above the mast of my boat as I sailed up Sinclair Inlet. Pfffft, thought I from the Central CA coast, where clouds are laughed at if seen at all. By nightfall, it had begun to rain...just a low gloomy piss drizzle that continued for 31 days straight without let-up. It was so depressing I turned my boat south for CA. I heard a week later that the dock where I kept my boat...and many of the boats berthed there...were destroyed by an exciting, wind-tossed, lashing electric freak storm.
