I come back to this idea often.

What if there were an upscale restaurant/bar/lounge catering to women (or couples) where the bartenders and waiters were nicely dressed and extremely attentive on the main floor.

On another floor, a more of a bar/lounge/dance area, it was not like a strip club/chippendales, but the men were available and attentive. Foot massages, backrubs, available to dance (with) women or groups of women on a dance floors. Maybe even men giving actual pedicures. Maybe private lounges where other eclectic things could be offered - tarot card readings, whatever. A piano bar in another room (again, all the service men are handsome and extremely attentive)

Considering cheesy places like Thunder Down Under and Chippendales still exists, and Magic Mike was popular, I wonder if a more subtle and tasteful form of male attention could attract a larger group of sophisticated women (think - college and corporate, mainstream, or women who would go " eww, gross " at strippers but think " yeah, hot " at men who look good and are pleasant to look at and they can touch and manhandle a bit).

Does any place like this exist?

Do women still enjoy going to strip clubs? Did anyone enjoy "Magic Mike"? I didn't see the movie but saw some of the dancing parts on HBO and was like -- really? Does this stuff turn women on? If I want to objectify a man and have him "dance" for me, it will be a different kind of "dance."

Here in Korea and also Japan I know of at least, there are places called Host Bars where women can go and for a hefty price, have attractive men be attentive to them (chatting, pouring their drinks, etc). I went to one in Korea once, and the guys were very attractive and attentive. Danced as well, but not like stripping. I heard there are many variations of this, like I heard there was one where they would sing karaoke with you and take off some clothes.
Host Bars are the female equivalent of Hostess Bars (which have sexy women instead).

There was also a pretty popular restaurant called Mies Container which is supposed to be like a Hooters for girls basically haha. I went and it was alright. ^_^

Sounds fascinating! That's kind of what I was thinking about.

Apparently there is something in Memphis but I can't find any info about it?

Haha...of course. But I was imagining it would not be like the typical strip club cheeseball dancing (as it was put so aptly in the movie 'bridesmaids' -- "BALLS in my FACE!"), I would think it would be more the "private attention of a male attendant for the time period paid for" and it could be anything from a dance to a foot massage to a shoulder massage to you telling him to get on all fours and using him as a foot rest as you talk to your girlfriends.

I guess the problem is that you have to have boundaries and rules or laws would be broken. And I am not sure with strip clubs for men what the rules are for how much women are allowed to "touch" the dancers. Can they disrobe them and touch their chest, face, hair? As long as they don't touch their genitals, for example?

I love host bars they should become a thing in US and I would definitely go to anything similar.

i would love to own and run such a place. well, its a lovely fantasy. in reality, itd probably make more sense for such a place to be run by women.

slightly different idea that i had a while ago: a strip club, basically, but with half the dancers male and the other half female, and explicitely welcoming to all genders and orientations. i think such a place, if run well, could have a really nice atmosphere. what do you guys think?
