I guess we must be very religious folks here in Europe. Denmark and Sweden, where I travel a lot, have windmills everywhere you look. (The first thing you see when you fly in is the long line of them out to sea in the strait.) Funny thing is, those ignorant foreigners actually think they're getting something out of them. Here in Yorkshire we're putting them on every hilltop, and a lot of those aren't government work: they're built by factories who can see the sense of making their own power and selling it too. Used to be that Yorkshire's main export was water. Now we've found a way to make money out of the gales as well as the rain. Heck, I've got a solar roof myself. It cost me zilch and saves me around £50 a month. I'm a believer.
